WTF, Arians. It's cold and snowing, our running back is chewing up big chunks of yardage, and what does our OC do? He has Ben dropping back to get killed behind our sorry OL. Jax stuck with the running game. They had plenty of first down runs that went nowhere, but they kept giving Taylor and J-D, the ball. It's shades of Joe Walton, and Mike Mularkey all over again.

Pick your poison.....
We bitch when it's run, run, pass. Then we bitch when it isn't run, run, pass.
Arians has to go though. Even though the 2pt conversion play worked that was a STUPID playcall.

If the defense is struggling it stands to reason that if you are running the ball well to stick with it. You move the ball and keep your defense off the field. Arians is the most bass ackwards playcaller I have ever seen.

What would some of us do if Arians wasn't gone by next year... I can't even imagine.

If the run game isn't working and we go run, run, pass yeah we bitch, but when the running game IS working, why go pass, pass, draw?

That draw on third and a mile is becoming a staple of this offense. Dumbest play the Steelers have in their playbook.

Yep, and sadly enough Jax showed us how to run it to perfection twice for long runs.

We were down by 15 in the 4th quarter!!! When should Willie have gotten those other 10 carries? We can't exactly give Willie the rock at the same time that Fred Taylor is steamrolling Larry Foote.
Here's my complaint... 2 minutes left and we have Najeh in the game INSTEAD of Willie. Idiotic. And that 4th down playcall, just horrid. On 2nd or 3rd down, that call is GREAT, on 4th down and 7, terrible.

Then our defense should have been ready for Jax to do it.

Exactly. Call that play on 2nd down not 4th. Miller isn't a speed guy. He is going to have to slow down to catch the ball and turn upfield. If you are going to throw short give it to someone with some speed.

That's the point. Had they given the ball to Willie more before that we may not have been down that far. Had we run the ball while it was working our defense that sucked ass wouldn't have been out there as much to repeatedly give the game back to them.
I agree 100% about our best offensive player being on the bench on the game deciding drive. Hell, unless he's on a stretcher he should never sit on third down either. You can spell him on earlier downs during the game. Najeh can catch the ball, but he isn't EVER going to break a play like Willie can at any time. That play where Ben just tossed it to him at the last minute should show our idiot OC what he's capable of if he gets the ball in space more. We've had the same issues all season. It isn't changing unless people on the coaching staff change in the off season.

Is it just me or do we rarely use the play action fake anymore? And why do we seem to be the only team that never tries to run a bootleg to get Ben out of the pocket, like Jax did with Garrard a couple times yesterday, I think both resulting in TD's. Ben maybe the best QB in the NFL throwing on the run.

I don't know, maybe in the first half when we ran 10 times and tried to pass/get Ben killed 18 times?

It's hard to use play action when your quarterback can't even get to two Mississippi before a D Lineman is buried in his chest. I would like to see him rolled out a little more too. He's going to end up running for his life anyways you might as well get a jump on it.

the play fake will slow the rush down a little.

Lets hope so, our offensive line sure doesn't.

I believe 1 was intercepted by Anthony Smith.
