Knowing how bad the Cleveland hospitals have been with staph infections, this could be career ending:

Browns receiver Braylon Edwards was hospitalized Saturday night after having a gash in his right foot repaired with stitches.
Edwards suffered the cut on his foot when he was running lightly in his socks during a special teams period Saturday afternoon with some other receivers. According to a photographer who was shooting the session, Edwards and fellow receiver Donte Stallworth were vying for the lead when Stallworth's cleat gashed Edwards' right heel. Edwards' grimaced in pain on the field while Josh Cribbs wrapped his t-shirt around the foot to stop the bleeding. Edwards left the field on a cart.
Edwards was not at practice Sunday morning, but coach Romeo Crennel said he thought he'd be released from the hospital on Sunday. He said Edwards was kept overnight for precautionary reasons. Earlier in the practice, Edwards had his ankle looked at after landing awkardly, but returned to work after talking to the trainer.
Crennel did not give a time-frame for Edwards' return, but one team official said it was not believed to be serious. However, he will probably be held out of action until the stitches are removed, meaning he could miss the second preseason game against the Giants on Aug. 18.

if he is smart he will ask for a trade or not re-sign whwn his deaal is up, has everything u want in a superstar WR but if he stays on the mistake by the Lake thin chances he reaches his ceiling.
I hope he demands top 5 WR cash and the Clowns are forced to trade him b/c of the cash invested in Anderson, Shaffer, Williams, Rogers Winslow JR, Thomas that they cant sign him, would be glad to see this kid become a star elsewhere.

If Donte Stallworth can't injure himself, you can be damn sure he is going to take someone else down! = )

NFL TA was showing a little piece of the interview with Romeo today talking about this injury. He actually seemed to get a little pissy when someone asked what happened with Edwards getting stepped on running around in socks? I just hope in a few days we aren't talking about a staph infection for Edwards.
Braylon Edwards has shit for brains.

Christ be with him, but it appears to be no more than a cut. from rotoworld.com :
Browns coach Romeo Crennel says he isn't concerned about Braylon Edwards' (foot) availability for Week 1 against the Cowboys.
The injury required stitches, but involved no structural damage. "I'm not worried that he won't be back," Crennel said. "It's nothing more than a cut. He's going to be back." Some media outlets are calling Edwards "out indefinitely," but he's in no danger of missing Week 1.

Playoffs? For the Browns? bwahahahaha - now that they have to play a real schedule? They'll be lucky to make 8-8.
The Browns are gonna fall flat on their over-hyped faces. The Steelers will rip off Andersons head and shit down his neck just like they did to his little buddy Charlie Frye. Their defense sucks donkey dicks and might even be worse than the Bungles D. All those fat fucks they got to stop the run will be worthless when Ben and Holmes shred their pathetic secondary.
Run away little bitches! You suck.

I don't know anyone that's been required to spend the night at the hospital because of a minor cut with a few stitches.
I don't know anyone that's been required to spend the night at the hospital because of a minor cut with a few stitches.
Only athletes. Whatever their injurys are no matter how seemingly minor they always need surgery or hospital stays or lots of time off.
If you or me get cut we wrap it in a paper towel and electrical tape and get our ass back out there.
Athletes can be such pussies, especially athletes that play for Ohio teams.
And will take those shit brains all the way to the Pro-bowl.
We all know how vitally important the Pro Bowl is. You have shit for brains too.

Won't it cost him lots of money to fly his whole team to Hawaii and put them up in a nice hotel? It's not like any of them will earn a trip there.
