Utecht's score was vs GBs 1st team D...the Perry run was vs the GB 2nd team D. And Marvin White needs to learn to wrap up when he hits. He keeps going for the hit instaed of the tackle.

1. Chris Perry looked good. Ran well, showed quickness, and showed power when he broke two tackles to score.

2. Fitzpatrick looked solid at backup QB. Crisp passes and good presence behind center.

3. Rivers did really well. Came in on third series and posted 4 solo tackles in the half, seven unassisted by the end of the third. Good tackler and flew around the field.

4. Utecht adds a dimension we havent had. My favorite play from him wasnt the TD, but turning to catch the ball off his shoelaces, then making YAC to get the first down on a third down play.

5. The D played fast and aggressive. Couple of sacks, couple of INTs. Sometimes too agressive by going for the big hit instead of the sure tackle.

All in all I can say the reults left something to be desired, yet I was encouraged. What I will really look for is improvement from this game to the next...and that the good things that happened dont revert.

And how about CJ, did you see him scowling and stomping off after the first 3 series, where he didn't get the ball? That dude has MAJOR issues, and 2 or three losses in he'll be yelling "TRADE ME" all over again.

The D looks as bad as it did last year, get ready for a lot of lit up scoreboards and just hope your offense can keep you in it.

Beak........whats the word around the organization about Rudi ? I had him on my fantasy team a couple years back and he was productive, but man this guy has fallen fast. Is Kenny Watson the man they're gonna rely on out of the backfield this year ? Think Rudi's days are numbered ? I hate the Bengals but Rudi is a great character guy..........definitely not in the mold of what you typically associate with a Bengal.

I watched the game and have bumped Perry up a lot on my fantasy draft boards. Rudi Johnson is done. Perry will be their primary runner by mid-season, maybe earlier.

That offense will still produce fantasy numbers and getting Perry cheap in the 7th/8th round of a fantasy draft could be a huge steal.

Ill answer this...Its not looking v good for Rudi. And Im not so sure he is a good character guy either. He is habitually late to meetings and was seen doing a little thuggery with Henry and friends about 6 months ago.

Right now Rudi is nursing a hammy. But I cant tell if its bad and they arent saying anything, or if its mild and theyre just being too careful...same with TJ. Both have missed most of camp so far.

Rudi fell off last yr because they didnt use him, and were always trying to pass to catch up. Also, he cut a lot of weight last yr in an effort to get faster, but I think it just hurt him. This season he has put the weight back on and been a work out machine. He looks cut and strong again. As for fantasy...I just dont know. Personally, I wouldnt put my eggs in Rudi's basket. My gut tells me he's sliding from all the pounding he's taken.
