I hopped in the game thread and thought we were losing a playoff game. That is all.

Yeah, cannot get too emotional in these games...It is sort of funny, but hey, Steeler fans are passionate! ;)

I know the O and D play calling is pretty vanilla, however, it's sad to see the ST are still giving up the big play.

We can install the 3rd Reich on special teams and those fuckers will still give up the big one.
It's called criticism folks. Nothing more. Sheesh. We played like ass tonight. Thankfully pre-season = practice.

Call me crazy I just don't care about winning preseason games.........as long as we come out without any injuries and a couple guys pullin for a spot show me somethin I'm good.......don't need a blowout......of the other team or a knee.

Micah Rucker cost us the SB.
Off with his head.
Cut.
It's a business.

Ive seen many teams blow thru preseason 3-1, 4-0 and look mighty only to come out in the real season suckin camel ass. Ive also seen the best teams go .500 or worse, winless during the preseason only to win Superbowls.
How many times have we seen the Steelers give up chunks of yard on a opening drive only to tighten things up and adjust as the game goes on ?
Pre-season...............PRESEASON. Theres a reason Strahan couldnt decide last year ....wait......WOULDNT decide last year if he would play during the PRE season. Theres a reason why LT wont play during the PRE season. Shit doesnt count.....it means nothing. Who gets more animated and excited over a preseason contest ? The fans.........i dont know why they even keep score during the PRE season.
Wait til post August to get worked up. I see some players out on that field making impressions..damn good ones.

Exactly, it is pre season. Of course it's painful to watch them get beat like that.

He looked like the #2 QB to me.

Just caught the highlights on ESPN. From what was said, someone needs to get fired up about the shitty oline instead of calming the fuck down.

Remember that we won the Super Bowl in 2005?
Okay, I am sure that everyone does.
HOWEVER, WHO REMEMBERS THAT THE FIRST TEAM OFFENSE DID NOT SCORE A TD IN THE PRESEASON THAT YEAR?
It's Preseason, it isn't even worth watching.

Well, they collapsed pretty good on that particular play....but the guys were mostly scrubs.
You want to fire Tomlin?

The only thing that really concerned me was the penalties, very poor tackling and of course bad special teams play on the kickoff return. Ernster should start packing his bags now.

7 + 10 = 7 will be a comon factor all season long. Try teaching that in school.
It's simple math and Santonio is definately going to pay HUGE dividends this season. I love the new math.

Im stone-eyeing this dude for drafting in my fantasy league for sure. If he becomes Steve Smith-ESQUE this year, look the f__k out!!! Kid can get behind a defender almost at will it seems.

Au contraire, mon ami....the story of this game and, frankly every other NFL pre-season game this year is "How did Brett's practice go today? Is his arm 'fatigued'? What did he have for lunch? Were his bowel movements ok? Boxers or briefs?".........................................and is it just me or are they really running those Wrangler jean ads a helluva lot more lately?
Don't sweat it. T-bone is selling "jumping off the bridge" tickets. See him for further details.

The best thing about preseason is seeing if anyone is going to step up and help the team. We do have some guys that have shown some promise although it is just the second game. Dixon shows a lot of promise and possibly can be used in more situations during the game. Got to admit Ben and Homes are hooking up quite well.
I just would hope more than just the people on this site, the coaches could see what the POOR TACKLING is leading to. This is not an issue for just this year--always using the shoulder like we are getting that many turnovers compared to yardage gained by the missed tackles. I guess becaus I like the defense--but they have not shown much as of yet--I know not showing there hands during preseason. Still they are showing some weakness that could really hurt down the line.

I don't care if it's preseason of not, our 1st team D didn't look good. Maybe they will turn it around but maybe it's a sign of things to come. I'm not ready to jump off that bridge just yet but there's no reason not to be concerned.

I think Baker might pull that one out. Right now I would say Baker is our #5 WR. I felt Willie Reid would step it up this year but he has disappointed me. Micah will probably end up on the PS.
