PFT had they talking to Simms aswell. Seems unlikely since they signed Harrington but its possible cause of the injuries to Smith and Boller.
No matter what, the Ravens QB situation will suck this season.

Meanwhile, they passed up Leftwich and Culpepper is still out there.

Boller has a torn shoulder and Troy Smith will be in bed eating ice cream for a month.
Flacco is their starting QB.
...it just doesn't get any better than this....hahahahahaha!!

I love how the Ratbirds are falling apart. I almost feel sorry for Flacco.

More like the disease of Billick has yet to entirely run it's course down there.

Maybe we could dump Lefty and bring Boller in to compete with Ben for the starting job!!!!!!!!!!

In a related story the Steeler defense is salivating.

Flacco scares me a bit....Even though he is a rookie he reminds me of Ben with his size and arm strength and he came from a small conference team. He has not been sensational in preseason, but he has been solid. Ben didnt exactly light it up in his rookie preseason year either. I think we should be careful what we wish for, it may come back to bite us.

I agree that Flacco is going to be a stud, a better arm than Ben and a lot of the same type of athleticism. By the way Harrington has NOT signed with the Ratbirds.

Signed or not signed the Ravens QB situation this year will be horrible. While Flacco gets the nod this week, not much of a test going against the Bungles defense. Watch him put up pretty good numbers and then everyone starts talking about Flacco is the next great QB.

Flacco is WAY better than any other option they have even with zero experience. I'd rather face Boller or Joey if I was any team playing them.

People all over Atlanta, Pittsburgh, Cleveland and Cinci should be raising a toast to this move. It's going to be a long year for Baltimore.

There going to ruin his confidence too. If they name Flacco the starter, they should stick with him threw thick and thin. But they won't, they will be inconsistant with who will will start at QB and ruin the kid.

That is a good point. I expect Flacco to be the starter until Troy Smith gets back.

Flacco is not ready. I agree that if they start him they need to keep him in there the entire year regardless of the suckery.
I'm a Delaware alum and huge Flacco fan. I was down right angry when he went to the Ravens.
