Are the Broncos in the market for an overpaid offensive lineman? Could we be interested in Foxworth?

Denver Broncos CB Domonique Foxworth will be traded in the next day or two. He was held out of practice Monday, Sept. 1, while the deal is finalized.

I can't get the image of Foxworth getting torched in the '05 AFCC game out of my head. No thanks!!!

Maybe athletically, but I'll stick with DeFlea.

I bet the Brownies go after him, they need major help at CB

If we aren't going to re-sign McFadden he might make sense. Still, I don't see us in the mix.

Didnt the Steeler specifically target Foxworth during the 2005 AFCCG? I remember reading that. The likes of Ced Wilson, Randel El, and company were catching balls all day on him. He may have been a rookie then, I can't remember. He has never impressed me.

That sounds like a horrible idea.

The only stats in which Foxworth is better is tackles/game. To me, that is an indication that he allows more receptions and then makes the tackle. I'd rather have a CB who actually defends the pass than one who allows the catch and then makes the tackle, ala Ricardo Colclough.

Just read where Foxworth was traded to the Falcons for a 7th rounder that will go up to a 6th rounder if the Falcons resign him.

No he is not. Foxworth was absolutely abused by Ced Wilson and is a terrible cover corner.

I not saying foxworth is starter material but i'd rather pay him back up money than pay 7 million to a back up lineman

I can't believe the Brownies didn't make a play for Foxworth. Have fun in Atlanta Mr. Foxworth.

anyone who doesn't think that foxworth would tremendously improve this team is completely full of shit. he had beaten out dre bly for the most part in denver...not that i have any respect for bly but....he would have been an upgrade on this team.

Tremendously improve this team, huh? I think I'd say marginally. He may be better than McFadden, but I'm not even sure about that. It looks like Denver traded him because they picked up Marlon McCree from the Chargers, and felt he was better than Foxworth to either start over Bly or back him up. Foxworth was so good that Denver took a conditional 7th round pick for him.

It may be apples and oranges, but we got a 6th round pick for Mahan. Just thought I'd throw that out there.
