on Good Day Sacramento saying Baltimore is the best tailgating NFL city, followed by Oakland?

Baltimore? Really? Can anyone debunk or confirm this?

I would have thought KC maybe as the best.

I would think that KC and Green Bay would lay waste to Baltimore and Oakland without breaking much of a sweat.

lol Well Ive never been to Baltimore, so I cant say. I guess it just took me by surprise.

Oakland does tailgate well. So do the opposing fans. There were TONS of Bears and Steeler fans tailgating at the games I went to. Got some good Italian beef sandwiches from some Chicago folks tailgating. But it was a huge party.

I dont think Denver tailgates at all.

KC was AWESOME. I went to a couple of games and it was epic.

KC is the best i've ever seen...although someone was telling me about another that rivaled it...not sure where though...

Well, I can't imagine Baltimore would beat out KC, but I will say the last time I went to a Raven's game I had a much easier time finding a outdoor parking lot to tailgate than I do finding one in Pittsburgh.

Because there are so many transplanted Steeler fans there that on game day they tailgate to root against the Rats ... LOL .

When I lived in Colorado, we used to talk a lot about going to any game in KC just to tailgate because its so legendary.

Buffalo is the best tailgate I've been to.

Despite the hatred I have for the Raven's Baltimore is a decent tailgate but I'd guess it's far from the best.

Old Bay crabs and about as many Steelers fans as Ravens fans when they play each other. Walking distance to inner-harbor doesn't hurt.

An added bonus is that the Ravens fans don't seem to kick into asshole mode until they're in the stands. In fact they can be downright cordial in parking lots.

Don't ever take the train after the Steelers beat them though. I've heard two or three stories of people getting rolled pretty hard just for wearing gear on the train after a game.

Oh yeah. I almost forgot. Theisman is a fucking idiot.

KC and Pittsburgh have always been ranked as the best. A lot of locals say tailgating in Pittsburgh has dropped a bit...but that's bullshit. It's just been relocated. Our tailgating is still damn hardcore.

I can't believe Baltimore can beat Green Bay. We went to a Monday nighter in G.B. We got to the stadium at about 10:00 a.m. for an 8: p.m. game and from the looks of things,we were a couple hours late. It was an all day long party with tons or crazy and generous people everywhere.

That's what I was thinking. Theisman must like the crabs.

Tailgating is best when you're grilling in the snow.

Theismann may go down as the biggest a-hole to ever be ab NFL announcer. You'd think he'd at least be a homey and suck off the Raider fans while in Sacto.

I've been there a few games and saw nothing special. I tailgated better in college with no money and cheap beer.

A few in our Steeler group went a few years ago to Bal. (Steeler loss) & one of the guy's girl got called a 'cunt' by some Bal. fan after the game.

So, yeah, that sounds like fun for the whole family.

He was. Trust me, he was.

Balt had terrible tailgating when I worked for them 1998-2002. Most of the time they roll to the stadium 2hours before kickoff to stroll in. Away teams are in the lots and outnumber Ravens fans when the gates open until 3hrs before kickoff.

Not sure if it's gotten any better. I'll check back after my game in Balt this year.

Haven't been to a Packers game, but I did go to a Brewers game in Milwaukee once...just a normal, game during the week. I was absolutely amazed at the tailgaiting going on before the game - and that was just a baseball game. Seemed like everybody in the parking lot had their own grill, and the smell was unreal. If they can pull that off every night for just a regular season baseball game for a pretty awful team (at the time), then I can only imagine what they must be able to pull off once a week before a Packers game.

Ive heard SF doesnt do much of a tailgate at all. I was kind of surprised at Denver too. Not really much goes on there.

Yeah, relocated to bars and indoor parking lots. In my book, that aint tailgating and it sucks. The remaining outdoor tailgaiting is disjointed and isolated. Even Cowher said it wouldn't be the same... and it isn't. No bullshit.

Nothing worse than walking into a game at 11:45 or so and having the parking lots not full. Open up the lots, first come, first serve. They will still make nice money, but they would be filled with awesome tailgates.
