No Texans fans here to talk about the game? This site has some decent Houston football fans, and their observations/concerns about the 2008 Texans' squad:
1. No pass rush.
2. Problems in secondary.
3. Poor running game.

I would have invited them to visit our message board to talk about the upcoming game, but I cannot create a thread on the Texans' board right now. I supsect that their message board has a 24-hour waiting period from registration before posting can take place.

Don't drag no cooters from Texas over here. We have our own infestation.

The commentary from their posters sounds pretty reasonable. They have concerns about any number of aspects of the Texans' team, note that the Texans won just 2 road games last year while the Steelers lost just one home game during the regular season.
A knowledgeable group on that board.

TexansTalk is one of the highest quality boards out there. It's not a homer board. And you don't have to invite us, we are already here. We just aren't Trolling up your board.

I linked your site in my original post on this thread.
I looked at a couple of Texans sites, and thought that the content and commentary on Texanstalk was good.
Definitely not a "homer board" since the posters have some pretty specific concerns about the 2008 Texans. The posts were thoughtful and detailed about issues that the team was having.
I believe that the Texans' problems in rushing the passer will be something to consider when they go up against a Steeler line that struggled at times in pass protection last year. I suspect that the Steelers are going to go after the Texan secondary with Holmes and against the LB'ers in coverage with Miller. The Steelers run-blocking was generally decent this pre-season in the little I saw, and Parker looked pretty good in games that were not against the Vikings.

Coolie resembles that remark. They're so bad I can't even find a funny avatar to use for the week.

Well if the Texans fans are worried about a pass rush, they can rest easy this week. Willie Colon and Kendall Simmons will make someone look like Reggie White on Sunday.

That is how I see it too. Holmes and Miller should have big games against the Texans. FWP will get his 100 yards too and then Mendenhall will get most of the carries in the 2nd half.

I hope the TexanS do well, just not in week 1. They are one of a select few teams that I don't hate or wish ill will to. After this Sunday, of course.
Good luck, TexanS!
