Just got my new issue of Men's Fitness magazine and Big Ben is on the cover. Inside is a short article about him along with a general description of his workouts, which emphasize conditioning and flexibility more than weightlifting to build muscle. Also that he recovers from getting the snot beat out of him every Sunday using a combination of a cold tub and alcohol (his words). Hey, I just report what I read.

Ben has no muscle. He really needs to get in an arm workout ot two.

I'll give him this, he doesn't miss many games due to injury despite the pounding he takes every week so whatever he's doing seems to be working.

WHY?
Ben has the muscle-mass TommyMaddox and is working on a BigSnack budha belly.

Oh, and perhaps Ben is referring to a tub filled w/ ice and rubbing alcohol (brings your body temp down).
But if he is drinking to numb the pain, I don't blame him.
I don't have a good tolerance for pain, so if I were a pro-athlete, I'd have some sorta substance abuse problem.

The thing that gets me is that people always equate sacks to taking a beating. If he takes no sacks all season, all the hits and tackles would be overlooked. I think the hits he takes when he release the ball are probably more trouble than the sacks......unless he has a fat-arse 350lb phuck landing on him......

I'd prefer that he was on the cover of an early February SI holding a sticky Lombardi

Why wasn't Casey Hampton on the cover instead?

Most good QBs don't.

So very true. Just keep doing what works!
