I saw that and mention it in the Hurricane Ike thread. But ESPN didn't say if things get too bad and the leftover winds/rains from Hurricane Ike makes its way towards Dallas what were they going to do. Given they have a beer can type of opening in the roof of their stadium?

Thats good............two games on Monday night are always better than one in my opinion. It gives me an option.

Not necessarily. Will both be televised in all markets?

Whoa wait a minute fellas... Remember when Ben made his first official start back in 2004? It was against the Dolphins in Miami at night in the middle of the wind & rain aftermath of some hurricane. NFL Sunday Ticket showed that game because they had to by contract. So who knows what the fine print says about broadcasting this game.

This will just delay the Raven's loss for 1 day.

Uh oh, Flacco starting in the vicinity of a hurricane, if the Ravens win they'll definitely be more Big Ben comparisons. It would be nice if this game was on also. I think the Texans will be pissed after being embarrassed last week and hopefully take it out on the Ratbirds.

The NFL TV Schedule site indicates that this game will be on Sunday Ticket channel 717.

...but the DirecTV schedule site hasn't changed the game to Monday night yet.....I wanna see the Texans beat the crap outta Flacco too.

I would love to watch that too. I am sure the Texans will be playing a lot harder after their Sunday disaster. I expect Mario Williams to have at least 3 sacks against the Ravens.

Mario should be able to et to Flacco. Not exactly Ogden at LT or anything.

Now i just heard PK on NFL Radio say that the game will only be broadcasted on the local CBS for each market. Due to a contract with ESPN for Monday night games, they won't both be shown. Nothing was mentioned about the Sunday Ticket though.

From PFT:
We’ve confirmed via communications with NFL spokesman Greg Aiello and ESPN spokesman William Hofheimer that fans of the Ravens and Texans who don’t live in Baltimore or Houston and who have purchased Sunday Ticket specifically so that they can watch the Ravens or Texans play won’t be able to do so this week because of ESPN’s exclusive prime-time rights on Monday night.
This Monday, ESPN will be airing the Eagles-Cowboys game. And so the Ravens-Texans game can’t be televised, except in the teams’ home markets.

To heck with the Ravens-Texans game.
Because of the hurricane, we (in the Houston market) probably won't get to see the Steelers game Sunday night.
Even if some areas have power, it won't matter because the NBC affiliate probably will pre-empt the telecast to continue its round-the-clock coverage of the hurricane...

Sucks. It'll be my first night in the dorms at OSU on sunday. The Steelers better not let me have to deal with a Browns fan roommate after they win. I don't even want them to have a single play that looks good. Completely destroy them to the point where the Browns fans know they don't have a damn thing on the Steelers.

There's Houston and Baltimore fans that live outside of there local markets?

Coolie - Not to be the bearer of bad news.....
But we're screwed.
There's no way with Galveston, Texas City, etc. underwater after the storm passes that the NBC station will show the game. There's already some flooding down there -- and the storm hasn't even hit yet!
We'll have to find a sports bar with power AND the ability to pick up the game via satellite, or from some feed other than the one that would go to Channel 2...

Evacuate to Alaska. We will have the game. And no hurricane interruptions either.

That sounds good.
One of my best friends from high school (in Pittsburgh) settled there 30 years ago.
But you'll have to send a private jet for me.
All flights to and from Houston ended about an hour ago...

Isnt Reliant a dome?

It's a dome (well, it has retractable roof).
But if the flooding is bad, it could be hard for people to get to the game if it were played on Sunday...

The game will not be played Monday. The roof on Reliant Stadium was damaged by Ike. It will be interesting to see when they reschedule it.
