the SEC has nine (9) teams in the top 45. yes, 1/5, including 5 of the top 10.

It's cyclical. A few years ago, Auburn went undefeated and couldn't get into the title game. Everyone was talking about the Big 12. Then a few years later, the big east won all their bowl games and everyone was saying the big east was back (now they suck again).

The SEC is the class of college ball this year when you look at it from top to bottom.

Sad thing is, they beat the heck out of one another in the SEC, and rarely come out with an unbeaten team. Georgia / Alabama will be a good one in a few weeks.

The SEC is the best conference this year but they don't have the best team IMHO. USC is the best team right now.

Agreed.

But I'm waiting for a team to make it thru the impossible SEC schedule undefeated. By the time they go to play USC in the title game, they're really battle tested.

Wouldn't it suck if the best SEC team had two losses, Oklahoma lost the Big 12 championship game, and the Buckeyes won out. Only to get destroyed again by USC in the BCS title game?

I know. It's a long shot.

It could happen. That's why I hate the system. IF everybody ahead of OSU gets beat later in the season OSU will move up. At least I think voters will take into consideration the SEC schedule.

I really never like to judge which team is best until they get a solid number of games under their belt.


Its like the Gamecocks last year, 6-1 and ranked 6th in the Nation....ended up 6-6.
