View Full Version : Shaun Rogers Is A F@&king DIRTY Player

Did you see that hit Rogers gave on Ben? The ball was long gone and Rogers rams his shoulder into Ben's shoulder. He wasn't trying to make a tackle, or get a sack, or even knock down a pass. He went right for Ben's shoulder and only his shoulder. I hope the NFL views that and fines him. That was bullshit that SOB dirty player. I'm still pissed!!!

What sucks is they give us a 'roughing' call for a lesser hit on Anderson.

He was going for that shoulder for sure. The best part about it............... that shows the Browns are desperate and couldn't win without trying some cheap shit. ohh! did anyone hear from Davis? no, he didn't do shit, I love when trash players talk shit trash.

It's always seemed that because he tends to shed tacklers, Ben gets fewer of those calls.

Don't you realize that Browns fans will be as proud of that as they were of Turkey Jones? The cheap shot is their fondest memory since they can't win a game against us.

Yeah I think. I think Roy Williams has been for his famous horse-collar tackles without the refs throwing a flag. But not 100% sure.

That fat ass will shut it down very soon ....that was his m.o. in Detroit, and he will do it in Cleveland...
I can almost guarantee, he won;t be playing in the next Browns/Steelers game...

If the Browns can find a way to keep him motivated and injury free, they'll have found their NT. He wasn't that bad IMO. (Late hits not withstanding)

Very disappointed that Rodgers didn't get flagged on that play. No question that was a cheap shot on Ben. He went right for the shoulder. I will be even more pissed if he is not fined sometime this week by the NFL.

can he be fined without a flag being thrown ?
Yes, Vince Wilfork was fined for his hit on Losman last year, there was no flag thrown.
It being the Pats and all........
A fine doesn't do Ben's shoulder any good.
Ben was in a lot of pain, you could see it in his face walking off of the field...The Steelers really need Parker and the rest of the team to step up and take away another 5 - 10 passing attempts from Ben. 19 Passing attemps and a few 30+ yard throws aren't going to let his arm get any better.

Yeah that hit by Rogers on Ben was ridiculous that a flag wasn't thrown. Woodley was flagged for roughing on Anderson on what I felt was a legit hit. Rogers basically rammed his helmet into Ben's shoulder....blatant and no flag. BULLSHIT!!!

That looked like a helmet to shoulder hit by Rodgers. It was late well placed and should have been flaged.

That non-call really pissed me off--especially since they called Woodley on what I felt was a non-call. When Woodley tackled Anderson, he already had his head down going for the tackle before Anderson released the ball. IMO, it's those cases when the call should not be called (unless the guy clearly had time to pull up--which Woodley did not.)
Rogers knew damn well what he was doing. He knew Ben had thrown the ball, but was purposely trying to put that extra chuck on him. So the fact that they called Woodley and not Rogers had me really riled up the rest of the game.

NBC showed the replay several times. I had the sound off and was listening to Bill and Tunch who didn't seem to notice that it was a late hit. I'm curious, did Madden and Michaels cry foul?

I posted tis in another thread but, if anyone taped the game, go back earlier in the first half. Ben throws the ball and Fat Ass could have pulled up, gave Ben a shot/shove that sent him on his ass. I thought THAT was going to get called. but didn't

Is it just me or does it seem to you guys that Ben hardly ever gets the roughing the passer call from the refs?
I can't understand it? Maybe it is his size? I don't know, but I can't remember the last time he that call?

Of course not, Madden was bloviating on and on as usual about things that had nothing to do with the play on the field, they barely mentioned it.
He did pick out Kemo's pulling and 'running-over-the-DB play' which he talked about for about 5 solid minutes....."BOOM! those guards love those 'trick' plays..."
Still better than the regular Sunday announcers who are either screeching hysterically to hype up the game or sounding bored and miss half the plays talking about their college teams.

1.The officiating sucked ass. 2.I hate Madden. 3. Shaun Rogers got his big fat ass mauled good on a bunch of running plays.I'd guess he was trying to make up shit play with cheap shots.

If Rogers had done the same thing to Brady or Manning, he'd have been kicked out of the game. It was ridiculous! In this age of "protecting the QB", I've never seen a more blatant roughing the passer penalty go uncalled.
I don't get why Derek fucking Anderson is more important and deserves more protection than Ben Roethlisberger.

He threw for (fill in the blank) last year, he's more than just a game manager...
Yea, that hit was almost as accidental as Kimo's knee buster on Carson Palmer. Folks, it's football. It happens and it will always happen. It's a game of aggression and sometimes it's hard to turn it off until it's too late and someone gets hurt. The only way to avoid it would have been if Ben would have released the ball and kicked Rogers in the nuts.

No, it's not just you. Just think back to the Atl. game a couple years ago. & in that same year, Aaron Smith got a roughing call for untying Brees' shoe against NO.

Refs have a tendency to "right" bad calls they made against a team by giving the victim a call later. That was not the case in Cleveland. That call against Woodley was BS. The refs had an opportunity to "right" it on that cheap shot by fat baby, and they didn't. It was flagrant. It was way late. It was deliberate. Shoulda been ejected.

He actually moves quite well and is fairly quick for someone of his size..yeesh. When will Browns fans realize that they need a whole new set of LB's? Wimbley = bust, because he only has one move.

It looked to me as a shoulder to chest hit.
Besides I think Silverback got pissed and took it out on Cribbs the next play.
