The Patriots have beat 2 teams that were a combined 8-24 last year (and both will be about the same this year) and all I hear about on the post games shows is how they are just winners clawing and scratching their way to victory, Then they get the pathetic Dolphins next week... Shit! They'll be 3-0 and of course the favorite to win it all because they just know how to win. Ugh.. puke

Well, to be fair. There not as bad as everyone thought they were going to be. Everyone thought they would go 1-16 after Brady went out. Cassel missed some plays but he's only going to get better. Patriots should get some nice trade offers for him next year.
but anyway, I do hate the love affair the media has with New England. They will win more than 10 games this year but won't do shit in the playoffs.

I saw this coming, if anyone that watched that slobberfest disguised as the Jet-*Pat game today, you know what I'm talking about.
Sucking off Cassel will go hand-in-videocamera-holding-hand with the Genius that is Belicheat cause he can take any player & make them good.

It's hard to be bad on a team that good. He will get a contract looking better than he is because of the people around him. I saw the game and he missed a wide open Moss and a couple of other plays around the goal line. But in the end, all that matters is wins.
I'm pissed about the whole thing because I was rooting for the Jets.

I thought the Jets were getting way too much hype after their win last week. Most people focused on the highlight-reel plays that Favre had and ignored the fact that they still ended barely holding off a bad Miami team. I see the Jets as probably a seven or eight win team. The Bills, on the other hand, look like they're gonna give NE a challenge.
As for Cassell, I thought he played pretty well, all things considered. However, I thought there was a pretty noticeable drop off from Brady to him. Had Brady been healthy, I'm pretty sure this game would've ended up being something like 38-10.

The D is stepping up for them, but they'll wear out before the season is over. They still didn't have that much of a run game (though I haven't looked at the totals so I could be wrong). I hope Buffalo smacks them in the mouth in a division game.

I thought the Jets would be able to pull it out, but they are still a bad team. Everyone will want to talk all about the Cheatriots this week after starting off 2-0.

I actually heard the dumbass Simms take time to defend Bellichick and say that the people who think Cassell should have been put in last year at the end of the blow-outs are wrong because him going in to just hand the ball off wouldn't help him as a qb anyway.
So i guess the only in-game experience that helps a qb is if he's throwing the ball down field. Which is something I didn't know. And later in the game when Cassell turned the wrong way trying to hand the ball off and the play got stuffed thanks to his confusion, I thought to myslef that there must be a bunch of pats fans who wish Cassell had been given a chance to throw downfield last year so he wouldn't have screwed up that hand-off.

I still recall the Bledsoe injury that trotted out Brady against (of all teams) ... us. That was a nightmare for us in that game. Hopefully the *Pats won't have the same kind of luck and talent with Cassel.
I was really hoping Brett would've brought a different kind of inspiration to the Jets and one that would certainly beat them especially with Prince Tom out injured ... but alas, it does not look like it's going that way. How about a split? I'll hope for a split now. :)

I'm pretty sure he got injured against the Jets that year. Now Bwady got knocked out against us in the AFCCG, & Bledsoe came in to burn us, as I recall.

Jet's fans got a dose of reality yesterday.
Patriots have the NFL's easiest schedule.
