Steelers have some tough teams on their remaining schedule (NY Giants, Cowgirls, Chargers, Patsies, Colts, etc., but that is not a negative. A team does not learn what it does well, and what it needs to improve, by playing scrubs like the Chiefs, 49ers, etc.

The Steelers were exposed as needing to change their offensive approach against teams that blitz all-out, like the Eagles and Ravens. The Steelers learned in the 2nd half of week 4 that changes to the offensive approach were needed.

The no-huddle and quicker patterns were the result. The Steelers are a better team for having to face relentless pass pressure in week 3, and now are ready for such pressure the rest of the season and post-season.

The Steelers have the talent to make the playoffs, and they are the best team in the AFC North. At that point, the brutal schedule becomes a benefit, since the Steelers will have faced the best defenses in the league and will be tough as nails for the experience.

I believe that soft schedules result in the early departure from the playoffs of "worst to first" teams like the Tampa last year. Teams that are forged in the regular season with game after game against quality competition are ready for post-season play.

So the schedule, a potential negative coming into this season, may turn out to be a key point in making the Steelers ready for the post-season.

No question our schedule can only make us a better team for the playoffs this year.

It depends IMHO. Yes, this is a tough schedule but if we get beat in the first round does having to fight every week for a win mean we didn't have enough gas to finish the season? Was our problem last year not enough but kickins from better teams?

In our SB run our schedule was average at best. We did play NE, Jax, and the Colts. But we've played them several year now. But that year we also played a bad Tenn, Texans, Vikings, and Lions team to go along with the always terrible 2 clown games. The only good teams we beat that year was the Bears, Bengals (for once in a lifetime) and Chargers.

This schedule will be tough for sure.

Amen brother! Every week is like a playoff game the rest of the year.

I totally agree. Can't wait for the next five games. I hate bye weeks, but this year it comes at a perfect time for us. A good way to spend the bye week would be watching the Bungles, Brownies and Rats all lose.

I agree and disagree. The Pats, Chargers, and Colts dont look as tough as they once did. I dont think we win all three, but I say at least two.

IMO, the Giants have looked good...but they havent been tested yet. They have played the historically awful Rams and Seahawks, and squeeked by a bad Bengals team. I give them credit for beating the Skins, but the Skins looked lost in that first game...I am looking forward to the rematch. That said, I think their pass rush will give the Steelers fits.

I think Dallas is the toughest matchup out of those 5. We go 3-2.
