Just watching Savran on sports and Tomlin went through the injuries.. we have a ton but thankfully non too severe. He said jeff reed is feeling a lot better and he should be able to go vs. the bengals. Willie got some running in today. Keisel went through full practice, so it sounds like hes good to go. Dallas baker hurt his shoulder so its possible we could be seeing sweed at the 4th WR spot. Marvel has a groin injury but he sounded like it was no big deal so he should be good to go and he didnt say anything about hampton so i dont know about him

I'm out of the media market and miss out on some of the talk shows, living in KY and all...

What has been said in regards to Mendenhall?

Surgery? Rehab? Severity?

'Fractured shoulder' leaves a lot to be desired. Is he going to be okay over the long term?

This is a much needed bye week for us and hopefully we can pick up where we left off starting with the Bungals.

Rashard Mendenhall, who went on injured reserve last week, needs surgery on his fractured shoulder but the procedure hasn't been scheduled yet. Mendenhall will be 10 months removed from his injury when training camp opens in 2009, so he should be 100% by then. However, if the surgery is put off too long the Steelers may have to limit Mendenhall some in spring OTAs.

So yeah hopefully he gets in there and gets it done quick. He should be perfectly fine though, its better than some kind of leg injury

That is great news with Keisel ready to come back for the Bungles. I really hope Reed will be alright. I expect FWP to be ready for the Bungles game. I wonder how much longer Hampton and Eason will be out. Sounds like Sweed will get his chance now. Time to step up kid.

I was kinda suprised to hear that Reed injured his calf on the kickoff for a touchback before half. I like most assumed he did it on a tackle. Thankfully it appears that he will be ok for the Bungles.

I'm wondering how 'injured' Baker is. I don't even think he got on the field, not sure how he would have gotten hurt??? Either way, Baker wasn't doing anything on the field so give Sweed a shot.

Great news with Keisel and Parker. I hope Parker returning doesn't mean we now go back to ignoring Moore. He can be a big time impact player in third down situations.

I agree.. i think they will definately still be using moore especially since willie is coming off a knee injury and they arent going to rush him back into 20-25 carries again, im guessing they will split carries pretty evenly

Moore will see the field. Hes still gonna be the 3rd down back, and I expect him to take any carries that Mendenhall was going to get.

Moore was third down back prior to the Ravens game as well and it wasn't until then that we finally started to use him. And Mendenhall wasn't getting any carries. I don't think Moore's touches will be an issue as the season progresses given Parker coming off an injury and him showing his worth. You'd also hope that the coaches give Parker some of the same opportunities that they gave more catching the ball out of the backfield as well.

Arians would be a fool not to use Moore after WP comes back... Which means of course he will forcefeed WP and run him until his wheels fall off...

Yea I didn't even know Baker got hurt. Very weird. No doubt Moore needs to touch the ball more even with FWP coming back. Of course that would be another opportunity for Arians to insert his head into his ass and ignore Moore.

Not only that, but he'll run him up the middle constantly. Yet they get Moore and Russell out on the edge on a couple runs.

I can't believe Keisel is back already, they said after he got hurt, he'd be out for like 10 weeks.
