It was only a matter of time.
CBS 11 News has exclusive information involving a Dallas Cowboy with a troubled past. Sources confirm to CBS 11 that Adam 'Pacman' Jones was involved in a violent scuffle. The investigation surrounds what happened inside a Dallas hotel overnight.
Jones was banned from the NFL for at least a year because of conduct unbecoming a player. He sat on the sidelines only to come back with the Dallas Cowboys under the assurance and the hope that he would not be involved in any conduct that would be deemed illegal or creating an embarrassment to the league.
The question now is – what happened inside the Joule Hotel? Hotel management wouldn't talk to CBS 11 News and offered no comment regarding the incident. However CBS 11 Sources say there was a violent confrontation, involving Jones, at the hotel Tuesday night.
Sources say police were called after Jones argued with one of his own bodyguards. By the time police arrived he was headed back inside the hotel and patrons could clearly hear a fight going on in the bathroom.
That fight was allegedly between 'Pacman' Jones and a member of his security detail. Security inside the hotel allegedly pulled the two apart. At least one mirror was broken in the confrontation.
Sources say Jones went outside and left the hotel without paying his tab. He was reportedly with a woman who drove the two away from the scene.
There was no police report filed regarding the incident. In a statement, Dallas Cowboys Spokesperson Rich Dalrymple said in part, "The organization has no information regarding the incident involving Adam Jones, therefore they had no comment."
Jones has been arrested in years past for public intoxication, disorderly conduct and faced questions involving a shooting in Atlanta.
CBS 11 News tried to contact Jones for comment but have yet to receive a response.

Cool...
Unfortunately, it would probably help the cowboys if he was suspended again...he sucks!

good point, dakota. he hasn't lived up to the risk, in my opinion. however, i think his worth on defense will be realized after his 1st year in their system...
I look at the Cowgurls as a good version of the Bungles. All the talent in the world, but you know the characters in the locker room are going to keep them from reaching elite status.
What's even more concerning for the Cryboys is that Owens seems to have a leadership role on that team...I can't wait to watch them implode in the playoffs again this season.

I find it odd that he has a security detail.

How many chances does the NFL and the law give this thug punk. He should be in a cage.
I think his bodyguard needs a bodyguard.

Like the great Brook Benton sang..."It's just a matter of time".
Goodell let another freak BACK IN...nice. Can Goodell resign right after Pac gets tossed?

It's funny, I keep hearing about how Goodell took a stand and put his foot down. What has he done? Up this point he has let a whole organization off the hook with blatant cheating and thugs back into the league after numerous encounters with the law (Henry/Jones). Yeah, great job.
Get back to me when this guy is serious.

Ever since spygate Goodell has lost his spin. I thought he was going to be a good comish but he doesn't have the guts to stand up to anybody.

And it was great when he stepped in and threw out a few suspensions/fines, but if you don't keep it up, what's the point? It reminds me of NHL officiating. In October, they call everything and anything, come December you can get away with murder.
Personally, I have no problem giving a man a chance. I think everyone deserves a second chance and not just when it comes to sports, but these two bums are on numbers 5,6 and 7. Where do you draw the line exactly? Do we have to wait until they actually kill a person?

You are absolutely correct Vader. I was also high on Goodell when he first began. He totally sucks now because like you said he doesn't have the guts to stand up to anybody. IMHO there is no way in hell that Adam Jones should have been allowed back in the NFL. Can't wait to hear Goodells spin about this latest happening.

Something happened during spygate. Not sure exactly what but you could see his entire thought process change. He looks like he was hit by a truck. He is toast and it's time to move on with someone else. But I'm sure he will be there for many more years.

Not a damn thing and it was completely predictable.
Goodell is completely worthless. Jones and Kraft are running this league.

Nothing will come of this. No charges were filed and all we have is people who say they heard a fight.
Pacman will be on the field the rest of the season.

I think the "body guard" is the babysitter the Cowboys hired to watch Pacman to keep him out of trouble.

Another great point Vader. He hasn't even come close to being the same commish since spygate. Damn shame because I thought he was going to be a good one. I completely agree that he needs to be replaced, but like you stated he will be there for many more years.

I'm not going to mention that one lone sports writer who likes to group sports athletes who run into trouble with the law as: thug punk street gangsters, rap music, false stereotypes of black people, gold-diamond wearing, gun packing, high price sneaker wearing, strip club visiting, blunt smoking, champagne popping, criminally related posse members, having a child or children out of wedlock, hangout with unsavory women, socially challenged individuals driving tricked out SUV and fancy cars. Did I miss something from the Jason Whitlock template? Now he's calling Jones in his latest article "TuPacman".
