I'm watching America's Game: The Missing Rings. The subject of the show is the 1988 Cincinnati Bengals.

With God as my witness, Sam Wyche opens the show by telling you the proper way to pick your nose and fling the booger.

I was getting a sick thrill watching them lose the Super Bowl. Seeing Boomer & Wyche bitching & moaning was nice. God forbid they do one on the 95 Steelers though.

If there's any Steeler team they should do that one on it should be the 76 team.

I did kinda feel sorry for the guy that broke his leg.

Yeah, Tim Krumrie. Real gruesome in a Theismannish kind of way.

I can respect Tim Krummrie. He played hard and kept his mouth shut. He worked is ass off to come back from the injury when a lot of guys would have quit.

I didn't think I could hate boomer Esiason any more than I already did. After watching the show, I was wrong. How that guy makes it through a whole day without getting punched in the teeth by someone is a mystery.

I agree that dude was a Bad Ass MF. You see guys who sit for minor stuff, when he goes out and plays through a broken leg. Probably one of the only bungles I could ever respect.

No question. Tim Krumrie played his heart out every single down he was on the field. I believe he coaches the Chiefs DL now and he is just as intense now with the players like he was playing.

I missed this one. Did they do a lot of talking about 'how we would've won if Stanley Wilson wasn't coking it up the night before'?

Yes. He was on the HBO special last year for the Chiefs traing camp and he's still a crazy mother effer.

he didn't play through a broken leg. he left on a stretcher, they set his bone on the sideline with no pain meds.... and he watched the game in the locker room until the end of the 3rd quarter!

They devote some time to Stanley Wilson, but Wyche takes the blame for leaving too much time on the clock for Montana to work with.

Another funny moment is they show an interview clip of Boomer before the Super Bowl and they ask him as a QB, what is his ultimate Super Bowl fantasy.

He says that every QB dreams of being in the 4th QTR...(clip of Super Bowl game clock showing 4 QTR)

About 35 seconds left...(clip of Super Bowl game clock showing 39 seconds)

You're inside the your own 20 yard line...(clip of of the 49ers lining up on the 10 yard line)

You drive the team down field...(clip of Montana passing down field)

And throw a TD with no time left to win...(clip of Montana hitting Taylor in the end zone)

I just watched it. They do a really good job of injecting emotion into these things, don't they?

The comment about Stanley Wilson that I liked was how Collinsworth stood up in the locker room and said to win it for Stanley - and half the team wanted to choke him.

Krumrie's story was excellent. Sad for the SB, but ultimately showed what kind of player he was.

Yes they were. You would have thought he was Jim Brown.

Danny looked like he wanted to beat the piss outta boomer.

That's probably why they don't let Cowher sit next to Boomer. Cowher wouldn't put up with his crap.

That has always been a mystery to me. Like Stonehenge and the pyramids. I cannot stand that fuck nugget. He goes in the Deion Sanders bucket for me.

Boomer is an ass. I can't believe CBS actually allows him to do their NFL pregame show.
