When it comes to the front office aspect of the NFL, I'm a maroon. I have a hard enough time fathoming the concept of a salary cap, much less the intricacies of one. Can someone explain what a "futures contract" is?

No Capizzi?

Steeler XL
01-11-2008, 07:25 PM
Since Capizzi is on the roster, I do believe he becomes an exclusive free Agent?

Future contract, usually is a one year contract with little or no signing bonus that will not count against the salary cap if released?

With no NFL Euro this season??? So when does that spring practice begin?

Steeler XL

Usually after the draft and one before to check out their off season acquisitions to make sure, their hoping what they signed.

Why hasn't Ben signed yet?

I know Ben is a priority, but he still has 2 years left on his contract. I see them trying to sign at least one big free agent. Then working Ben's contract around the cap.. I don't see any progress until after the draft.

Supe, weren't you pimping him a couple years ago?

Lots of people were. He was a very productive KR at the college level. Didn't pan out due to injuries with the Eagles.

We'll see...stay tuned.

You know the people who drive in the HOV lane with a dummy in their car, just for appearances? Mike Lorello. He's always around, for appearances.

I thought he was on the team a few times. I never remember him playing...yet the name has stuck with me for some reason. Did he ever DO anything?

He's easy on the eyes when everything else is falling apart and we're losing.

But when someone is easy on the eyes, it is easier to forgive a bad play. LOL!!

When they sign a future contract, it simply means they have signed on for the next season, since this season is still in progress.

And, the players on roster will remain on roster. They are locking up the practice squad players and any street free agents they are interested in.

OMG ladies.................pffffffffffft..........ITS FOOTBALL !!! :D

I was at the in-laws last night watchin the game and me and the fellas were talkin X's and O's, trends and tendencies of the Cheatriots on defense and we got to discussing Brady and how its been pointed out that Brady can be a poor sport when they lose (immediately trots off the field in defeat) and then as if they were queue'd up in the background we hear two female voices ......"but Brady's still hot though". I wanted to say "awwwwwww then go single-finger your vagina if youre all that moist over this prick".

The worst is when they're like *clapping at the television "Ohhh ....Oohhhh !! Show Brady, show Brady ......omg.........omg.........he's soooooo cute".

I don't think Brady's that cute. Leinert's much hotter. So's Kurt Warner. Heck, even gayboy Quinn & Carson Palmer are cuter than Brady. Even the revolving door that is Baltimore has a better looking bunch of QB's. Frankly, the best-looking grouping of QB's in the NFL is sitting in the AFC North.

You know? That's true but didn't realize they are all in the AFC North. How about that? :)
