I think they got rid of that wishy washiness in that last game of the year against the Pats. Maybe they saw they were going toe to toe with the best for about three and a half quarters.
Have to credit Coughlin for playing to win that game. Their play now may be an unexpected and unintended side benefit.

Any given Sunday. They've got a great D-line and that offense is starting to click

Half time changes were made - they worked, while at half time Dallas sat on thier game plan. The changes put in by Giants worked well as they continueally pressured Romo. He colapsed like a House of Cards.
THAT is what happened.

1) They get pressure with 4.
2) Eli stopped throwing stupid picks.
3) Jacobs is finally healthy.
4) Their OL can block for more than 2 seconds.

Lots of things have changed in the last 4 games. Shockey's big whiney mouth isn't in the huddle, his replacement, Boss has quietly stepped up and caught everything thrown at him, and Bradshaw has stepped up and given them a change of pace at RB. Eli isn't making mistakes either but that could change in a heartbeat. They are playing very aggresively on defense by getting pressure on the QB and playing tight physical coverage. If they can continue playing defense like they have, they have more than a puncher's chance against GB. Don't lose sight of the fact that Favre has a very young team and he has a history of making dumb throws when pressured. I think GB shot their wad yesterday and the Giants come in and close the deal.
But you're right, everything did come together against the Pats. The game meant nothing and they went out and played their asses off and almost pulled it off. They peaked in a loss during the 17th week of the season.

So the Cowboys game plan was to have Romo running around and lobbing the ball up like a H.S. QB?
Brilliant!!:D

I bet the "Benvy" among Giants fans discussed here a few weeks back has dried up in a hurry.

That sums it up perfectly.
Did you see dallas' oline in the 4th Q? They were DONE! The Giants D-line was swarming like a scene from Aliens.
Also, the rookie RB Bradshaw is a player. No plays off now when Jacobs in on the sideline.

The Giants are playing Coughlin football. Remember how he created the tough base of the Jaguars so he's applying that same type in New York. Coughlin coaches with a militant attitude.
Saying that Coughlin plays to win, are you saying that Phillips wasn't playing to win? What happened to Dallas was a meltdown of Romo. The guy cracked under pressure which is what he did in last year's playoff in Seattle. Romo, to me, is just another Couch.

Kudos to the Giants for winning, but the last two drives had me flashing back to Cowher. Run, run, run, punt. Run, run, run, punt.

4) Their OL can block for more than 2 seconds. They really didn't generate much pressure yesterday with just 4, but have at times.
Eli is taking what the defense gives him and they have lots of weapons.
Gilbride is calling a great game, including personnel changes.

Eli is playing well, they have two good backs, good recievers and a legitimate defense, but they were lucky yesterday. Coughlin needs to be more aggressive with his play-calling and decision-making.

They were lucky. Both San Diego and the Giants faced 3'rd and 3-5 yards with 2-3 minutes left. The Giants faced it twice and went run-run run once and run-run-sack the other time. San Diego went run-run-run. If either team gets a first down they probably win the game as time runs out. Granted they both won their respective games, but neither team played to win. They won because the opposing team couldn't cash in the chip that was given to them.

He's learned a lot in the 15 years since the Oilers blew that 32-point lead against the Bills - and in the time since he was with the Steelers.
So just think how good Arians will be in 15 years!...

Romo has been in the gossip mags I read all season long.
Im sure its because he's always hooking up with celebs. But is this normal for players to vacation/party so much during the season?
I guess Im just wondering between games and practicees when does one find the time to fly to LA and let britney rub her coochie on your leg?

Yeah, Whitten was there for sure. Didn't hear about the lot of players that went, just that TO footed the bill.

Dallas fans are calling Jessica 'Yoko Romo' for going away to Mexico with him the weekend before their big game. LMAO!
