Do you make a move to bring this guy in. Maybe give up a 3 or a 4 in the draft?

* NFL commissioner Roger Goodell is expected to revisit Pacman Jones' suspension in February after he returns from the Pro Bowl. Jones probably will be reinstated then. Titans coach Jeff Fisher wasn't ready to talk about Jones this week. "We've got a lot of internal discussions that will be taking place regarding his status," Fisher said. According to several league sources, the Titans will look to trade Jones. He would address two of the Eagles' more pressing offseason needs – a shutdown corner and a kick returner. But there's no way Andy Reid would consider bringing a guy with his character issues to One NovaCare Way

While the article mentions the Iggles, the CW (conventional wisdom for the acronym-challenged) would indicate New England as a potential destination.

Assante Samuel likely won't be back, and writers like Peter King will tout the restorative power of the Bellicheck Kool-Aid.

Heh, whatever team brings this guy in is going to get a solid player.

And an awful person.

The Steelers sure aren't the Bengals. Too bad they're not the Patriots, either.

Don't be surprised after New England brings Jones in, straightens him out, and develops his Probowl potential.

Signing and reforming a bad attitude/poor work ethic is a little different than signing and reforming someone arrested that took a plea deal in a triple shooting and was suspended for a whole year.

Yea, clubhouse cancer and being involved in a tripple shooting are a little different.

Pacman Jones reportedly punched a female lawyer at the Body Tap strip club in North Atlanta on January 3rd.

Jones apparently entered the manager's office, accusing the club of stealing money from him and falsely accusing his entourage of owing a tab. Jones reportedly lunged at the woman multiple times during the meeting, in what the lawyer said was an attempt at grave bodily harm. Jones didn't connect until afterwards in the hallway, when he reached around a security guard to "sucker punch" the woman. Not only could this be a violation of Jones' parole, it could result in the league delaying his March return to football activities, and certainly make the Titans less willing to welcome him back.

I never compared Jones directly to Moss. It just wouldn't surprise me if the Patriots are able to sign him and turn him around, as they have developed a history of bringing in castoffs and making them productive.

But since you brought it up: Go ahead and feel free to classify pleading guilty to battery, violating probation for drug use, requiring anger management from an employer, and being arrested for hitting an officer with a car as "a bad attitude/poor work ethic."

Triple shooting felony in 2006 = misdemeanor traffic violation in 2002 and some other older actions?

Pats didn't have much left to reform. Let alone someone coming off a one year suspension.

I may be the GM for a day but the Rooney's are still my boss. No way do we even talk about it. That is not the Steeler way. We build through the draft. They are our players our picks. They are Pittsburgh Steelers, quality first.

Titans fire Chow after three seasons

ESPN.com news services

Updated: January 15, 2008, 2:20 PM ET

The Tennessee Titans fired offensive coordinator Norm Chow after three seasons with the team, ESPN's Chris Mortensen reported Tuesday.

The Titans finished the regular season 10-6 and suffered a 17-6 loss to the San Diego Chargers in the first round of the playoffs. They finished 10th in the AFC in total yards.

Chow, who was previously the offensive coordinator at USC, was interviewed for UCLA's head coach opening in December but withdrew his name from consideration. The Bruins went on to hire Rick Neuheisel.
