I hate getting on this site after a loss because of all of the so called "loyal" fans start pissing and moaning about how we are done and how we have the worst coach in the NFL and the worst team in the NFL. Give me a fucking break people, shit happens and it did today big time. Mark my word, the steelers will still make the play-offs than it is anyone's championship to win, remember super bowl XL? I wish all of the assholes that start these dumb ass threads after a loss would just get the fuck off the band wagon now so us loyal fans have more room to enjoy.

I'd have to agree with that. The thing is for me is the way that they are losing. The constant shooting of themselves in the foot, the consistent inconsistency, the bonehead play-calling, the turnover per game, the guarantee return for SIX per game, and the lack of playing a full 60 minutes each and every week.

They are not improving enough on a weekly basis and every week we hear the same excuses from the HC about how they are 'developing' and how they have to go back in the lab and fix things.

That is what pisses me off. They are supposed to be the defending champions not the keystone cops. They can't get out of their own way right now.

this is the kind of loss that can destroy a season or one that lets this team know they are not lasts years team.i hate the word defending champs cause in sports today last year doesnt meen shit.am i pissed hell yes i am that was the chiefs not the colts ,saints or amother power in the nfl.there is way to much talent on this team to lose to the chiefs period,we are about to see how good of a coach tomlin is but until they look in the mirror and every man hold himself accountable bad things will happen.damn is troy that important to this defence .one thing is for sure if the ship goes down i go with it but as a fan a real steelers fan i have the right to voice my opinion

I see where both of you are coming from. I am fucking livid....it's total bullshit how our special teams are so bad. I just think cutty meant he understands people are pissed but the ones who are screaming the sky is falling are out of line. I would love to club a baby seal to get this rage out of me but I believe we will still be fine and make a playoff run.

Its who were losing to that pisses me of not so much the losing, let me explain, you lose a nail biter to the colts, uh ok, pissed, but you lost to a good team, same goes for a few other good teams, But we lost to the fucking Chiefs. I am sorry but as far as I am concerned this rest on the coaches, in perticular MT, and BA..

Right. I agree. But if this isnt the place to vent, then where is it? I dont agree with the "big bitch" comments at all. I dont want to take Tomlin out. But he has to step up and make some fucking adjustments. Arians HAS to go. He HAS too.

Look, like I said earlier, these two losses could result in a Ravens beat down of epic proportions. Remember the Ravens on MNF? That was fucking FANTASTIC. We're amazing on prime time. I dont know.

This team does drop some really WTF moments. They did it under Bill for YEARS and are continuing to do it now.

You know how I always post that it pisses me off we're everyone's highlight reel? But we are. Yet we have six rings. That drives me fucking nuts.

ST has been "special" for YEARS. I dont know what the fix is. Thats what the profs get paid the big bucks for.

Maybe they need to hire TMC for consultation. I dont know.

But when the Steelers hit retard mode, they hit it full force.

100% correct, they should be forced to ride the short bus home.. and can I pet your monkey?

It was a shitty game no doubt but the Steelers don't have the worst coach in the NFL, nor do they have the worst coordinators either, yes they all have contributed to the losses and the players have a lot of blame too. I am always amazed how many fans just want to blow everything up and start over, remember who you Love the Black and Gold Six time Super Bowl champion Pittsburgh Steelers. I have faith that Tomlin will get it done there is a reason he is our third head coach the past 40 years the organization knows what they are doing.

The point I was trying to make is this, the steelers are still a top rated team in the nfl, even after this piece of shit loss today to one of the worst teams in the nfl. I understand being pissed, ask my wife how frustrated I was and how many cuss words I started to let out when Chambers was running down the field this afternoon, I am so fucking pissed after a steelers loss that I refuse to watch sportscenter on Mondays. I think it is pure bull shit to have to read on here that we have a shitty team, shitty head coach, shitty qb, shitty everything after we lose a game. To me, that is ridiculous.

No true Steelers fan is ready to sell their Black n Gold stuff, but that doesn't mean they can't vent on here or discuss what happened.

I agree. People have short memories though. They don't care how good any players ever been or if they've been hurt or just simply having an off game or year. They need to fuckin take the shitstorm full force after every loss. It's actually EASIER for me to take losses now because I've seen them on the top twice in my life. So for people to say I'm less of a fan because I don;t act like a maniac is off base too. I just keep in in perspective. Get at me when we lose a playoff game.

In my opinion, there is a difference between being upset over losing and moving forward and going deep end, jump off a bridge, full idiot mode.

Last season, there were games where the board was just like this...yet they won the Super Bowl. This board was in full blown meltdown after the Philly game. Yet, somehow, the team did not fold. In 2005, they were beaten by Baltimore and then throttled by Indy. Full blown meltdown.

The Steelers lost today because they made mistakes. It happens. It can happen to anyone. The goal remains the same, make the playoffs, make some noise.

Some of you really need to get off the rollercoaster.

Yea, I never understood that argument myself. I like how people who complain less think they are the TRUE diehard fans and everyone else is just bandwagon filth. Such arrogance is laughable. Actually, these people that go off the deep-end are showing more passion....and probably have more passion than the people who can actually sit and accept a loss like this. When you accept a loss like this....I question you. I do.

We just lost to the Chiefs. The fucking CHIEFS. This is a team that has won EIGHT total games since 2006. We're the fucking SB champs. There are no excuses. If people want to bitch....then let them. Shit happens.

A loss like this was much more painful from about 1992 to 2005. It still stings, but it's a bit easier to take with two more Super Bowls in the bank.

Besides, I can't get too down on a team that just registered over 500 yards of offense.

Have you not been watching? First off, Pittsburgh never lost to an opponent the likes of the KC Chiefs in 2005. Secondly, they didn't get swept by the Bengals, and finally the Special Teams is probably the worst in the NFL...yet again. Teams with the worst special teams don't win Superbowls let alone get in the playoffs. I am skeptical that the Steelers will make the playoffs, not because of today's loss, but because I'm looking at them objectively. Sure when they started the season I was excited as anyone else for the repeat, but I by no means predicted it without seeing them play yet, nor did I make ridiculous predictions like so many on this board that "Pittsburgh's gonna kill Cincinnati becuase they always choke." There are so many blind homers on this board with such a lack of football/sports knowledge it's comical. In my eyes, here is the reason Pittsburgh is failing:

1. No commitment to the run - Although the Steelers were 23rd last year in rushing yards, they still were committed to the run. Run the ball = the defense gets more rest. I actually thought they should pass more toward the end of last year and the beginning of this year because Willie was getting washed up....but...Rashard Mendenhall starts to play, doe great and....Pittsburgh continues to force this pass-happy west-coast offense even though...
2. Troy Polomalu injured - I said it when he went down vs. Tennessee losing him was just as bad as the Patriots losing Brady, unfortunately I was right.
3. Special Teams - coverage unit. This lies solely on the coaches shoulders. It doesn't take great athletes to make a great coverage unit, it takes a gutsy, tough group of scrappers just dying to get some PT. 5'2'' Stefan Logan is one of the gunners...need I say more.

Finally, if Pittsburgh is lucky enough to make the playoffs, they'll exit early. Most likely, decided by another bad play on ST.

I was more disgusted than pissed, and everyone here has the right to be bent too.
Yep, the boys played lousy, but as of right now we have Kemo's knee hurt, Troy out on a we'll see basis, and Ben who's head feels like it's going to crack off his body.
We can be as bent as we want, but we're not the ones on the field getting battered around and hurting right now.

This loss deserves some serious bitching and moaning. The Chiefs were without ther best WR and released their starting RB a week ago. I was mad as hell when the game ended and got ever madder when the Bengals did what I thought they would do......lose a game they thought they would win. We should be tied for first with the Bungholes, but shitty special teams, bad play calling and coaching fucked that up.

I know the Steelers are capable of going on a run, but right now, I don't see anything makes me believe it's going to happen. Our special teams have serious issues, four KOs for TDs is no accident. BA doesn't have any desire to call two successful running plays in a row, Even if Mendy has gains of 7,7, and 8 yards. Instead he tries to get tricky and runs a sweep with Moore. What a fucking douche bag.

Go Steelers!!!

Steelerman
11-23-2009, 05:47 AM
I said it a few weeks ago.....that the issues haunting the Steelers this year typically do not go away. They stay there all season. We got swept by the Bengals....and that's one bad motherfucker of an omen right there. Troy will be limited all season. The special teams will obviously suck all season. Bad luck will dominate us all season. Simply put, there is no rosy way to spin this. Some people are going to have to accept that we aren't going anywhere. You know what? It's OK to accept that. It doesn't make you any less of a fuckung fan to accept that your team just isn't that good. Mistakes are a part of football....and good teams typically don't make so many of them. Draw your own conclusions. Even if we do miraculously beat the Ravens next week.....we all know that this team is fully capable of going home and choking against the Raiders a week later.

Now, go and watch your regularly-scheduled homers go and predict a 35-3, 42-7, etc victory this week in Baltimore.

Nice rant!! I especially like:

I say the fans have a right to be pissed today. They have a right to vent, scream and rant. Tomorrow is a new day.

Today, the Steelers suck and we have every right to say so.

We arent accustomed to accepting medocrity or sucktitude. We've tolerated it for many years, but never accepted it.

Just because we complain today doesn't mean we can't hope for a better tomorrow!!

Right now, I am very disappointed with the game, score.

In the morning, I expect us to finish 12-4.

I'm probably taking it a lot better because I didn't see it.

It is not yet time to lower our expectations; we still are mathematically possible for Playoff birth. Losing like this might make you want to throw in the towel and give up on the season but as long as there is a glimmer keep tightly clenched that TT and raise it up in support. Our season is not over.

exactly! what pisses me off the most is its the same few people that start these threads, yet after a win they are nowhere to be seen to celebrate it with the rest of us. its like they are just lurking waiting for another loss so they can spout off about how they told us so, and how our coaches suck, and ben sucks, and holmes sucks, and reed sucks, etc... it gets old and it makes me question why the fuck I spent the money to help keep this place running if its just going to support trash like that.

be upset, I don't think a steeler fan in the world isn't upset, but seriously the Ben sucks, Tomlin sucks, even Lebeau sucks?? give me a fucking break. I didn't see the coaches out there missing tackles, blowing coverages, allowing yet ANOTHER return for a TD, I saw the players do that. you can get on me all you want about how the coaches get them prepared to play, but its up to the players to execute. did you notice after the return TD the coverage was much better? where was that in the beginning? our D played great the entire first half and in spurts in the second but they collapsed when we needed them most. and this might have been the worst game for the OL this year. last week was bad, but this week was horrible. if it wasn't for ben being the escape artist that he is, he would have been sacked SIX times by a team that barely EVER gets sacks. the run game, aside from a few decent runs, was non existent and the OL kept getting blown off the ball.

thats not coaches, thats players.

Bitching about a loss or not bitching about a loss has nothing to do with passion, it has EVERYTHING to do with one's personal self control. There is a reason why some people jump off bridges and others do not.

Drexel

I wonder if there are enough bridges in Pittsburgh to handle all of the jumper traffic?

MeanJim
11-23-2009, 02:07 PM
Doesn't bitching about other people bitching make you just as much or more of a bitch?

I was pissed yesterday. Chambers went down the sideline, I said "game over" and walked out of the room about the time he crossed midfield. Kicked their ass and lost, just like countless games in the Cowher days.

Keep in mind, if the season ended today, the Steelers would still be in the playoffs. If Ben plays, we have a chance. If not, we're fucked. If Ben AND Troy play, it's highly likely we win, every week. This team can beat anybody, but sadly, can also lose to anybody. No "gimmes", not even Cleveland.

Our 0-line sucks, our kickoffs and kickoff coverage sucks, our OC sucks, and our defense often chokes at crunch time. Those are facts. But we have a great QB, very good receivers and running backs, a stout defensive front, at least 2 great linebackers, and a solid group of DBs, even when the best safety in the league is out. It ain't over yet.

SteelerGal58
11-23-2009, 02:07 PM
It sucked that's for sure. When we were walking out of the tunnel in the parking lot yesterday somebody yelled "The Steelers Suck!" and I yelled "Hey now." and they said "I'm a Steelers fan and the Steelers Suck!" I said "Well, OK". Despite controlling the clock and doing some great things, yesterday they stunk it up. Any KC fan that tried to rub it in heard from me "Super Bowl Champions Baby!" or "How many rings do you have?" and they shut the hell up.
