View Full Version : Official Prediction Thread - Steelers v. Rams

ExUSAF had the pick of the week - 23-13 Jags.

Man, I just don't know what to say about this one. I'd like to think that the D bounces back with a complete shutdown of Steven Jackson. Somehow I just don't feel confident in that happening. The one thing going for us in this game is that the Rams O Line might be one of the few that is worse than ours in pass protection. Ben will play well, and hopefully Willie runs wild. He better, I'm counting on him to help me win the championship in my FF League this week. I really hope the character of this team shines through these next couple of weeks.

I am nervous about this one as well. I'm thinking it may be like the Atlanta game from last year, hopefully with better outcome.

Well after having watched how the Rams took to the Packers last weekend, I am left wondering just how it's going to play out. Part of me is scared, really scared. The other half of me says it's time. Time for us to break out of the funk we've been in. Boom! Away with the doom and gloom - in the blink of an eye we resume playing like we knew how. Yes! That is how I'm seeing it. Good, now I'm feeling better.

I think Arians loses this one too but we go to Ratville and win. Boller is starting against the Seahags and coming off a concussion the Seahags D will bring the house. If Boller gets hurt again the Steelers will play against a 3rd string QB. I don't think think the coaches could even lose that game.
We beat the Rats we win the division right? But we'll play the Jags in a Wild Card game so we'll be one and done. Arians is a loser so why expect anything else.
Don't hate me but it's been obvious for a while.

Sorry, the Steelers are horrible on the road and the Rams are getting healthy. They can pass the ball and run it with Jackson.

This will be a battle of the RB's with Parker and Jackson both having 100-plus games.

I think this will come down to the last minute-literally....Jeff Reed saves our collective azzes with a FG

I don't know how this ones gonna go. We either win it close, 27-24, or we get blown out of the stadium 34-13. It will be one of those two scenarios.

Let's hop Willie run well and often and their offense is on the sidelines for much of the game.

After at least a month of games played in the shittiest of conditions, I think a game indoors and 70 degrees is going to help us out. I know we're on the road and all that but I feel okay on this short week.

The Steelers are doubting themselves and with good reason. Especially the defense.
This game is a tough call.

The offense will have to win this game.

I have no faith in our defense Ike is a good cover man but he can't catch a cold so we don't get any int's Smith is more worried about being like Troy all he wants to do is go for the big hit and Townsend/McFadden give to much room and still get beat long. With that being said I do have faith in our offense, Ben is solid and make's things happen when there is nothing there, Willie is great when we run him off tackle and Ward, Holmes, and Miller will be to much for the Lams defense. I think our defense will stop them at least once while our offense will not be stopped at all.

Steelers 48
Lams 41

One more thing this will be a hard game to watch cause last year I was on the Carriker bandwagon and if he has a good game and our first 2 picks just sit on the bench and do nothing I am going to need stronger blood pressure medicane.

Whew, early predictions were doom and gloom but we've rebounded. They lost to the Packers last week for cripe sake. Certainly not a power house team the pack is not. They have simply played flawless football, followed the game plan to a "T" and not lapsed terribly in any one area. They are being consistant.

The Steelers, well we saw it early this season, are capable of awesome displays of superiority. We must get back to it now!

The Rams cannot stop the run at all, so Parker should have a great game. I just hope that Arians wises up and sticks with it this week.

The Rams' o-line is worse than the Steelers'. If the Steelers cannot generate a pass rush this week, it will confirm that they have the worst pass rush in the NFL. The Rams are nowhere near as physical up front as the Jaguars are, so I am not too worried about Jackson running wild.

It shouldn't be that close but the Steelers have lost to a lot of teams they should have beaten this year.

Follow that up with a Bungle win over the Brownstains and the Steelers will be the AFC North champs.

We simply cannot lose this game. If we do it is curtains for us and the boys know it. I see Ben having a monster game because he is pissed about all the media clowns thinking he should be replaced with Anderson/Garrard in the pro bowl. Ben throws for 300+ and leads the team to a winning td inside of two minutes and the Steelers win 31-27. If I am wrong and we lose, me and my buddy Jimmy Beam are going to drown our sorrows together.
