the Jets to knock off the Colts... Just think about it... The Indianapolis Vulvas tank their perfect season and pull all their starters that allows the Jets to get into the playoffs... Then the Jets (who wouldn't have made it if not for tanking teams) beat the Colts and ruin their season... That would be Karma and that would be justice

I wouldn't mind seeing that happen. Then I'd like to see the Saints win the Super Bowl.

i was just saying that too my buddy. I'm not cheering for the Jets at all except for Revis to do well. i can see the Jets beating the colts and the viqueens beating the saints then you can have Favre vs his old team

I've been chearing for the Jet's since the Steelers were eliminated for these very reasons. The team the Colts and Bengals let in to keep us out kicks their ass. It's a beautiful thing

I love poetic justice... but I also can't stand the dog butt Jets. Actually, I can't stand their coach. Revis is the man and ya gotta love Shonn Green.

Brady sitting at home.. Check
Ravens at home a week later.. Check
Dallas sent home with 'em. .. Check
lil Phils dripping wet cunt sitting beside Tom, comparing wet spots. Check
Throw the Colts management team over there beside them for the superbowl... _________

At this point ... I'm cool with whoever makes it to the super bowl with one exception in the final tally ... that if the Colts do make it, they MUST lose it! Whether the Jets take it to them or one of the NFC teams, it's all cool with me.

We still have people who honestly believe teams lost games just to not play us?
What color is the sky in your world?
Anybody but the Saints at this point - their fans are just way too fucking obnoxious. I would like to see Favre win it all above anybody else.

Saints and Colts in the SB is what I'm hoping for, and the Saints to win it all. I can't stand the Jets. Sure, the Colts let them in the playoffs, so they deserve to lose in Miami for doing that. Can you imagine the media love fest if the Jets got to the big game? First rookie QB, Rex Ryan is God, etc., etc. Makes me want to puke. Same sort of thing with Favre, who also makes me want to puke.

I'm pulling for the Saints and Colts in the SB. I'd be OK with the Vikes going but not so much for the Jets.

I can handle the Jets in the Super Bowl. I'm pulling for the SAints to take it all.
Let's see some new blood out there.
Hint-Favre is not new blood.

It's hard to envision the Jets in the Super Bowl. One has to think that the Colts will awaken from thier slumber to take control. It's not too late but time is running out.
Since the Vikings aren't favored that game will be considered an upset, so will there be room for two upsets? Maybe, maybe not. Come game time, I have to be pulling for the Jets, simply because I can't stand Indy.
My gut tells me it's a Vikings/Colts match-up in the "Big Dance".

You got that right ..
Same sort of thing with Favre, who also makes me want to puke.
On both counts ... I am SO sick of hearing about how great he is ... Yes, he is an exceptional player and he is older than dirt .. but he has also made a complete ass of himself with the - Yeah I am going to retire , No Maybe not , Yes again this time I mean it .., Well no actually I still want to play .. Do most of you really believe that the Colts said, 'hey let's tank the next couple games to keep Pittsburgh out.'? Not, 'let's not take any risk by getting our main guys injured by playing them in meaningless games'.? Seriously?
thumbring
01-18-2010, 09:17 PM
No, I don't believe that, Aries. I just hate what they did, throwing a game in the midst of a chance at immortality. The fact that it had a negative effect on the Steelers is icing on the cake. I just think it would be very sweet to see the team they laid down for come back in and beat them.
I know a grand total of one Jets fan. He's not too bad. So, I really don't care one way or the other about them. I would prefer a Jets/Saints Super Bowl, with the Saints winning.

I think the Colts went into the Jets game planning to win, but the game wasnt going as smoothly as they expected so they decided to not risk any injuries. I dont see any problems with this. If manning would have gotten injured obviously the Colts would not be near the same team. The steelers rested a ton of starters against buffalo I believe a few years back with playoff implications on the line w/ several teams. It just so happened that our backups came to play and wiped out the Bills anyways. The bottom line is if you win enough games you put yourself in position to do whatever you want and the teams that are on the outside looking in can only blame themselves. Every team that was on the bubble had at least one inexcusable loss.

I never said it had ANYTHING to do with us... They tanked though in a perfect season which allowed the Jets in... I'm hoping their tanking costs them a perfect season AND their playoff run to the team the let in

60 min, it is just as bad out here in L.A. with these F'in trojan HOMERS and their sanchize BS and he went to SC yada yada yada, it's funny they were all saying he wasn't ready for the nfl, and now these f'in FRONT RUNNERS are ball washing him like crazy, I don't like the colts, my brother in law would be the only reason I would pull for them, can't stand manning and his BS at the line of scrimmage crap, and ryan is a former RATBIRD and is as cocky as ever, would love to see ryan the loudmouth and the sanchize get put back in their place this weekend!!!!

Hadn't thought about that, turbo. Yes that would be poetic justice. As much as I'd like to see the Saints win it, I concur that their fans are extremely obnoxious. I've never seen so many people trying to start something with fans of a visiting team who were minding their own business. Not with me personally but I witnessed a lot of that when I went there in 02.

I rather see the Colts vs. Vikings in the Super Bowl. Don't care who wins but make it interesting to the end so I don't run out of food and beer from being bored while watching.
Now I have two friends who are die-hard Saints fans and they are very humble & respectful to others about their team's recent success. But those village idiots with no knowledge of NFL history or how many Lombardi trophies the Steelers have that I met a month ago who were here for the Falcons vs. Saints game can go kick rocks in Hades. I thought Falcons fans were deaf and blind when it came to pointing out the flaws in their team but those other jack@ss Saints fans take it to a whole new level of retardation.
No disrespect to the Jets but I really don't want to see LB Bart Scott on TV holding up a Lombardi trophy acting like he just scored the highest points on a video arcade game at the Mall back in the 80's.

I'm hoping the Saints win it all. I don't care about the Jets since they have been insignificant since Joe Namath left. I want the Colts to lose for not having the balls to go for the perfect season, it has ZERO to do with the Steelers. Fuck Brett Favrvvrvevrve, that's all I have on the Vikings.

If the Chargers played the way that they had been playing most of the season they should have kicked the Jets back to NY, no tickets required. Instead, the Chargers forgot how to play football, Rivers was the only player to show up for that game.
IF the Jets were such an awesome team, they would have beaten the Chargers by a whole lot more, they didn't ~ so I expect them to get their asses handed back to them this weekend.
I expect a Colts/Saints SB ( with the Saints winning), though after the season I had picking wins I wouldn't be surprised if the Viking make it in. This year SUCKED for pigskin picks, why should it end now?!

Only reason I'd like to see the Jets win is to remind our organization the importance of focus on the OL, the running game and smothering defense.
I simply believe the Colts should be reminded (once again) why they shouldn't shut down their season each year with a week or two to go. They tend to do that and it pretty much bites them every single time. At some point you'd think they'd realize that wasn't working too well for them. As a finesse team, they need consistency rather than time off.

The Jets are playing the way the Steelers always have and what made me a fan of the Steelers. Tough, shut down defense. Strong, physical, wear the other team down running game. And a big play, fast strike, play action passing game. The Jets are showing once again (and hopefully Tomlin is watching) that the old formula still works. These are the things that Tomlin said he believed in when he was hired. Its hard for me to say and harder to accept but this year the Jets played 'Steelers football' better than the Steelers did. And I fully believe that is why they are one game from playing for the championship and the Steelers are home thinking 'what if'. Lastly, to tie this all back to this thread, the Jets are playing the type of football I love and respect and thats the main reason I'm chearing for them.
