Zach Thomas could be heading home to Texas.
According to several media outlets, citing league and Dallas team sources, Thomas has reached an agreement on a contract with the Cowboys.
The 34-year old and native of Pampa Texas, was recently released by the Miami Dolphins, the team that drafted him 5th round (154th overall) out of Texas Tech in the 1996 NFL Draft.
Thomas only appeared in five of the Dolphins' games this past season due to a concussion.
The New England Patriots and New Orleans Saints were both interested in his services.
