Fagg was hurt while running a pass pattern and taken from the RCA Dome field on a stretcher.
Florida State wide receiver De'Cody Fagg underwent surgery Thursday for a serious knee injury suffered Sunday at the NFL Combine in Indianapolis.
"We are elated and excited about the success of the surgery," agent Kevin Conner said in an email to FOXSports.com. "DeCody's professional career is in no way in jeopardy."
Originally projected by draft analysts as a late-round pick, Fagg is now unlikely to get chosen because of the injury. Fagg could sign with an NFL team as a college free agent, but the amount of signing bonus he would receive is considerably less than had he gotten drafted.
Fagg's medical costs will be paid by insurance he received through the combine. He also had protection in case he was injured before the draft, which will help offset the loss of any signing bonus he would have received.
Despite inconsistent quarterback play last season at Florida State, Fagg caught 54 passes for 758 yards and five touchdowns as a senior. Fagg's height (6-foot-3) made him an intriguing prospect for some NFL teams, especially in red-zone situations.
