Wow just seen info on ESPN that this 24 year old who was going to be drafted passed away last night. A 6'5" 325 lbs OT who many of us,myself included, believed would be a solid NFL player and had projected going to us in a few mock drafts is now gone.
This is a shock. I feel sick over this. No details yet but early police reports said no foul play was believed to have taken place.

This is so sad he was so young and so talented. I was one of the guys that had him in a mock or two and would have been happy if we ended up with him in april. RIP Heath.

Dying of natural causes at 24 is not natural. Dying of 84 of natural causes is. He had to have had some undiagnosed medical defect.

Very tragic. So young and strong and talented. God rest his soul and comfort his family and friends.
What is up with young men with huge upsides named Heath?

not that it would help a whole lot...but crap...if it could've happened like 2-3 months from now...AFTER he had signed his contract and had some financial support for his family...
very sad on this...really sucks...

24 years old ... unbelievable. What could have caused his death?

It is a shame to lose a life so young. They said he died of natural causes. Maybe as large as these lineman are getting are taking effects on their bodies.

here's a pipe dream.
the nfl returns the pick to the *pats. The pats draft this kid, sign him to a one day contract, and helps out the family.

yeah...but the pats would run up to the podium and pick a real player...then use their 7th rounder for heath saving money and getting a good 1st round pick...
or that's my opinion of the cheaters...
that is of course the flaw in my plan...the *pats.

What's up with draft prospects dying right before the draft. Remember the Nebraska QB that died in the plane crash and that OL from Indiana (I think) who was a walk on died driving home after working out at the Colt's facility?
