So I was asked to represent the Steelers over at a rivals site... yes... THE rival's site. Anyway... here's how it's shaken out so far. the Cowboys still have yet to pick but I am next after that.

First Round Official Order
1. Dolphins - DE/OLB Chris Long, Virginia
2. Rams - OT Jake Long, Michigan
3. Falcons - DT Sedrick Ellis, USC
4. Bengals from Raiders - DT Glenn Dorsey, LSU
5. Chiefs- OT Ryan Clady, Boise State
6. Jets - RB Darren McFadden, Arkansas
7. Patriots - CB Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, Tennessee State
8. Ravens - QB Matt Ryan, Boston College
9. Raiders from Bengals - OT Jeff Otah, Pittsburgh
10. Saints - CB Leodis McKelvin, Troy
11. Vikings from Bills - DE Vernon Gholston, Ohio State
12. Broncos - OLB Keith Rivers, USC
13. Panthers - OT Chris Williams, Vanderbilt
14. Bears - OG Branden Albert, Virginia
15. Lions - DE Derrick Harvey, Florida
16. Cardinals - RB Rashard Mendenhall, Illinois
17. Bills from Vikings - WR Limas Sweed, Texas
18. Texans - CB Mike Jenkins, South Florida
19. Eagles - WR Malcom Kelly, Oklahoma
20. Buccaneers - WR DeSean Jackson, California
21. Redskins - DE Phillip Merling, Clemson
22. Cowboys -
23. Steelers -

they are allowing trades as you can see as long as they are realistic and somewhat follow the chart. You can ONLY trade picks, not players.

At this point I'm thinking Hardy.... possibly Groves providing we go 4-3 and make Woodley a DE in the next year or two. Your thoughts?

If Hardy is there, by all means. Would Cherilus be a reach here?

Cowboys will most likely take CB Talib which leaves us with WR Hardy or a trade down.

I would trade this pick with the top tackles all gone, along with Albert and Sweeed. I'm just not a big fan of cokehead Hardy. Maybe trade to a team like Atlanta who has 5 selections in the first 68 picks. We could look to add depth and talent by getting around three of these guys: Chilo Rachal, Carl Nicks, Earl Bennett, Duane Brown, Dre Moore, Antoine Cason, Brandon Flowers to name a few targets.

conner or groves IMO...

So now because of some rumor, Hardy is a coke head. Puleeze. I think he is more of a Pepsi man myslef. it is the choice of a new generation.

Yuck...

Hardy. He completes our WR position and gives Ben absolutely no excuses *IF* we continue to address the need at OLine in rounds 2/3. We'll need a RB, but we can always handle that next year. If not Hardy, then I try to trade the pick "OR" go best Dlineman on the board.

How about picks 34 and 48 for our pick 23?

that would give us three 2nd rounders.

You can find help from this site...just update today...

This guy has Chris Williams falling to us at #23; but for this draft, in question, you can't pass on HARDY...

That's a major chart drop for whomever(ATL?) is offering that.

no one is offering it.... I was gonna make the offer. that still leaves atlanta with 2 more 2nd rounders

going by alot of sites, Hardy would be the reach there, not Cherilus. Ben needs time to throw the ball.

I really think any of the tackles are a reach here. Hardy and groves are two plaers who could make an impact this year... and we can always get a tackle in the 2nd or third.

I love Hardy the football player, I'm worried about Hardy's character - I think we'd pass on him for that reason.... of course, it worked out so far with Holmes, so you never know.

That's an ugly scenario, a trade down would be ideal.

Check out TMC's post in the other thread, Hardy isn't even in alot guru's top 5 WR's, that's a big time reach at 23.

trade your ex-wife's topless photos for a 3rd rounder.

conner or groves IMO...

That's the way I'd go too if a trade down is not possible.

Me too. Connor or Groves would represent the best football player on the board in this situation. Though, for the Steelers purposes, a trade down would probably be preferable given their most immediate needs.

I went with Groves.
