And so it begins...
Quinn Sypniewski - #88 Tight End - 6'6" - 270lbs
News: An MRI revealed that Sypniewski has a torn ACL in his left knee. He is expected to miss the entirety of the 2008 season, according to the Carroll County Times.
Impact: Last year, filling in for an injured Todd Heap, Sypniewski caught 34 passes for 246 yards and a touchdown. This could be a significant blow to the Ravens given Heap's injury history

That's got to be really tough blowing out a knee and it's not even during a game. And they're right about Heap's injury history so this has to change their draft board now.

That really sucks when any player gets injured in the off season and is done for the year without ever having to step on the field. I wish him well in his recovery.

Even though I didn't see the Ravens doing very well, this upcoming season, this just makes it worse...
I'm off to heckle some of them on their board...LOL

Actually, it did happen on the practice field.
OWINGS MILLS -- In the wake of Quinn Sypniewski shredding his left knee on the practice field Friday, the Baltimore Ravens' interest in drafting a tight end has increased exponentially. Even prior to Sypniewski tearing his anterior cruciate ligament, team officials were exploring the possibility of adding depth at the position.

Poor guy. It's never good when you see shredding and knee in the same sentence.
