talib, cason, or cromartie...and those two are the ones i think could fall to us. we are going to get an elite CB in the first, mark my damn word, Tomlin is a DB lover and we need coverage to go with our rediculous pass rush this season...i just wish somehow the steelers could eventually get that kid WR from texas tech, crabtree (will come out next year, prolly)...i was watching highlights of him today on espn u...jeezus.

talib has charater issues, we wont draft him. and IMHO cason inst as good as porter. porter would be a steal in the second, where the steelers can get him.

i would love to trade down and get james hardy and tracy porter. i am a diehard IU fan.

ESPN recently interviewed some of the girls on campus. They all said Pete maintained press coverage on them all day long, and really knew how to use his hands.

Gents....I believe we're gonna see something special if GAY can win the #2 spot - yes, we need to bring in another CB because our depth there is critically low; but I have been going back looking at all the games and tape on Gay---IMHO, he's better than Deshea and faster. And in reality, the whole bunch is OK; but, because it takes us 8 secs. to get to the QB...our coverage breaks down.

I'd like to find a rush specialist in this draft...maybe even two of 'em...

Bermuda - IMO you are dead on about William Gay. He will get a lot more playing time this year and show he belongs on the field. No question we will invest in a CB at sometime this weekend for depth purposes.

We could have 1995 Deion Sanders and 1994 Rod Woodson at CB and teams would still be able to throw on us if we don't get pressure on the QB. Not that I'm against a CB in the draft, but if we can get a solid pass rush, Ike, McFadden, Deshea, and Gay are pretty good CB's.

Exactly.

The only issue with the Steelers and drafting a CB in the draft, is next year, McFadden may be gone, Deshea is older then CAH and we may need to draft 2 rookies to play immediately, never a good strategy.

Putting pressure on the quarterback will help our defense thus getting an impact pass rush lolb/rolb would be the move to make.........go GROVES
