It seems that trading down is definately a possibility, but I wanted where we could go down to and for what?

I came up with 3 possiblilities
1. Trade down w/ Atlanta for 2 of their 2nd rounders. Probably the most likely to happen.
2. Trade with Miami for their early 2nd and early 3rd. This would be nice but the numbers don't quite add up.
3. Trade down with San Fran for their 1st and maybe a 3rd. San Fran always seemes to move on draft day and I hear they love Groves, so they would probably have to trade up.

Either way, I'm all for trading down because 23 probably won't give us great value.

Trading down in this draft would be a great move unless an impact player is eye balling us at #23...........i.e. pass rush specialist

I'm having dreams of trading down and getting either Sweed or Hardy and then coming back and getting Sam Baker with our pick in the 2nd Round. Shut up, I can dream can't I?:p

Trade with KC for their 2nd and their middle 3rd rounder(acquired from MIN)

I would trade down with Miami in a heartbeat if it involved their #2 and #4 or #5 this year and their #1 next year. That's how you get value.

and their #1 next year

So we'd get the #1 overall spot next year (or damn close)? :) Because you KNOW they're still going to suck this year.

Parcells isn't a retard. No way he trades next years #1 for our 1 this year.

The Chiefs are now in position to take 3 #1's out of this draft and are definitly an option as a trade down partner. They could be looking QB along with a few other teams at the end of round one.
Should the Jets miss on McFadden in the first it would be an option they would look to move up to grab Stewart at 23.
A boat load of options if we're lucky. If we are very lucky one over priced offer to move back is all you need.

i would love to get groves and still trade down so we can get a good CB like tracy porter. porter is a stud in disguise. he is a baller. would also like to get zuttah, langoford, johnston, and another good WR. that would work.

R2- quentin groves LB
R2- tracy porter CB
R2/3- jeremy zuttah OG
R3- kendall langford DL
R4- brian johnston DL
R5- dexter jackson WR
R6- vince redd LB

Sam Bakers a local boy right out of Tustin High School. Where Seshaun Foster went to school also. Some serious Basketball players also. Hines 57, can you hear me?

Tustin High is building its NFL base. DeShaun, Frostee (even if he is a bungle), Chris Chester (ratbird), Matt McCoy (eagle).

Thats in addition to Shawn Green, Mark Grace and ESPN studio analyst Doug Gottlieb. I used to ball with Doug and played for his dad's traveling teams. I played ball against Shawn Green in an alumni basketball game. Grace was at the school's 75th anniversary celebration.

They are tearing down the school and moving it to the Marine base though. Damn shame.

We can speculate until the cows come home, but no move will happen until events unfold on Saturday. Likely not until our pick rolls around. Hey, at least we won't have to wait as long.

Just like always, we don't see eye to eye. If they take Baker in the first two rounds, I'll be pissed.

I am thinking that if stewart is still on the board at 23, Seattle would jump at the chance to trade with us to replace Alexander.

Just like always, I'm not surprised. Since you are the complete opposite of me....I'm thinking you hope we take Johnathon Stewart in the 1st. How's my aim?

Since, I figure he'll be way gone before then, your aim is great because I think he'd have great value at #23.

I just think, at this point, the Steelers need to come away with the best 6 players they can get (almost completely ignoring position on day 2).

They owe it to the good young players on the team. That's why I don't see reaching for a big area of need with a guy like Baker (who is kind of like Cris Conrad without facing good DEs) or Balmer. The WRs present value, depending on where they are taken in the draft.

They can make a trade with Miami work though, if Miami wants to move back up for Henne.

That should be their #1 hope.

Sure would be nice to be able to get Miami's 2nd and 3rd for 1.23.

They have the first pick in each round. Since we're only moving down 8 spots that their 2nd and 3rd would be about equal value. Maybe even their 2nd and 4th......All depends if Parcells gets any itchy trigger finger or not.

MIA owns 64 and 100...those, with 57 are 700 points. The Steelers' 23 is worth 760

If you go by the chart, I'd even take that or ask for another pick next year. If they wanted to throw in the 4th this year instead (which would shock me), that would be even.
