Correct me if I'm wrong but he did not visit with the Steelers. I am a much bigger believer in the Steelers drafting philosophy than some "expert's" opinion when it comes to looking at a draft choice. We never draft guys that don't visit us so I am ruling Balmer out as pick 1.23.

That being said I am still clueless on who we take at 1.23 because there are so many different routes we can take.

I believe we take either WR, OT, DE/OLB, RB.

If that is the case these are my favorte prospects per position at 1.23

WR: Hardy then Sweed then Kelly
OT: Baker, Cherilous (considering Williams, Otah, Clady are gone)
DE/OLB: Groves
RB: Stewart

These are the only 7 guys I believe are worthy of our pick at 1.23.

He did not visit. I do not think Balmer is on our radar. Until his senior season, he never had more than 17 tackles in a year....then he "exploded" for 59.

I want no part of him.

I think that Groves and Stewart are probably our top 2 targets in the first IF the tackle prospects go like everyone thinks they will.
