Okay, I am not sure that everyone is familiar with Gosselin and his almost legendary final mock drafts, but Gosselin usually pegs about 85% of his picks right and his Top 100 is a pretty solid listing. He has been in the business a long time and generally gets tips from insiders. Now, this does not mean he is perfect, but he does have a good feel for where players will go.....without any further babbling......his Top 100....

I don't see Pollak with better value than either Laws or Avril. But this guy should be around when we pick.
30. Quentin Groves DE Auburn.

That said I really hope we trade down as there is good value to be found later.

I like Sweed or Groves at #23. Both should be there and both will be good players.

Thanks for sharing TMC and it's interesting that Rick gets about 85% of his picks right. While I could live with Hardy there is no way I could pass on getting Groves at 1.23.

Those are not his selections, it is how he rated the top 100 players. His final mock should be out soon.....probably today.

I've read several draft boards that have the Steelers picking Aqib Talib. I sure as hell hope we don't. The Steelers have MUCH higher needs than a Corner.

If we stick w/ 23...I would, as I have said since these talks started, TAKE the BPA. If that player is a CB...so be it.

Personally, I'm ready to moved down on the board and add more picks.

I disagree...Corner comes right after OL in my opinion with DL being #3. DeShea is a dinosaur who should be playing FS. B-Mac's days may be #'d in the burgh. Why not get an elite CB to put on the other side of Ike and make sure you hold onto William Gay to be the nickel/utility guy for years to come. The pass rush will be better this year, regardless. Timmons and Woodley will be monsters and I'm sure we will get somebody else who can bring it. The draft is deep, and OL and DL positions can be the hardest to tell whether guys will pan out. Risk it on the skill positions early. Grab Hardy, Sweed, Talib, or Cason (will be there early 2nd) early, and bulk up DL, OL, and LB later in the draft. Trading down makes a lot of sense if the Steelers can add more picks in the second and overall. Teams going after Brohm, Flacco, Henne, or possibly Felix Jones would be eying the Steelers' pick very closely.

I don't think they'll take Talib, but I think that's more based on weed/interviews than the fact that he's a corner.

I would still rather have Cason later if possible. Reminds me a lot of McCallister

Say what? When Smith wen't down the defense turned into a freaking powder puff league loser against the run. It was pathetic to think that we have NO depth at the position. I almost see the DL as #1 need after the signing of Starks and Hartwig. If Hartwig pans out to be at the very least, decent, and the Steelers move Colon to OG and Starks at RT...the OL might be OK, NOT GREAT, NOT GOOD, but enough to give Ben 4 seconds to throw the damn ball.

Just the number 23 beside hardy's name would be enough.
