....especially for guys doing mock drafts:

How many of these players have you actually seen play? I don't follow much college so I'm not familiar with 95% of the players in the draft.

What about you?

Thanks (in large part) to TIVO, I watch 4-6 college games a week during the season. while I haven't seen ALL of them, I've seen a lot of them.

Every single guy available for the draft. Especially pete, who's making a late push to get in the middle-upper portion of my exclusive SN Mock Draft.

seen some very often...some sparingly...and some not at all...i rely on several different sites for differing opinions...some i have more respect than others...so i give them more weight...certain guys during the year just jump out at me...but i don't always trust my own judgment...which is why i usually won't write anything up on a player other than i really like them...because i've usually read up on them even if i liked them...and i figure some of what i say will actually be someone else's opinion...

for instance...my judgment this year had Marcus Henry WR from Kansas as a really good WR...i still think that...but since others that do it for a living say he's not even a top 30 WR...i back off my opinion on him...other than a few comments here and there...

i do this mainly for fun and my own enjoyment...kinda like the brackets in march madness...

80% of it is Highlight film. The rest, kids from teams that play local or on teams I actually follow. After the season the Senior Bowl, North/South games - these are, if the kid's not left school early, games where you can see some of them play. There is an awful lot of College Football over the coarse of the season. I happen to enjoy college ball and if I didn't watch any then that first number there would go from 80 to 100 and one would say No, I haven't watched any of them.

Living here in Oregon I saw a lot of Jonathan Stewart and he was that good before the injury. But now that he's had the toe injury I just don't know.

I wonder how many people have seen actually seen DRC play. Other than the senior bowl.

There's very little college ball available over here (unlike the NFL which gets great coverage). I rely on draft sites, people's opinions that I trust, downloading the odd game from bittorrent and highlights from YouTube.

Like Slu I do this for fun. I find it to be one of the most interesting times of the NFL year.

I have seen every minute of every game played all the way down through Division III. Bank on my opinion.

Probably about 10% of the people who claim to have seen him, unless you count the senior bowl. I think they had like one televised game this year outside of the area. The same could probably be said about Leodis McKelvin. So basically the top 2 CB's on most amateur mockers boards are guys they haven't even seen play. I find it hard to rank guys I haven't seen play as my top prospects which is why I rank Cason and Jenkins my top 2 CBs. As far as guys in general I have probably seen 70% of first day guys play not including all star games.

I rely a lot on the NFL Network for my draft info.

While I'm not all that familiar with the players, we better not be picking Stewart with our first pick. A RB is the last thing we need on this team, other than QB.

My preferences:

OL
DB
DL
WR

I watch vey little regular season games due to my kids playing high school ball but watch a lot of highlights. I watch bowl games and senior bowl stuff(this is where I was impressed with such guys as DRC and Avery) and of course the combine. I never use to get into the draft very much and just in the last 2 years I have started paying a lot more attention to the players and draft, I owe most of that to this site. Guys like TMC really put out some great info and links to get me interested and Dave runs a great site. I do a lot of reading about players that get mentioned as possible picks for us and guys at area of need for us.

Me too. I get the bulk of my info here and on NFLN. As far as games I watch, I'm pretty solid on knowing the SEC guys. I don't watch much outside of that unless it's a matchup of ranked teams.
