At Safety, Justin Harrison from Illinois is a solid player. Not the best size but he's a ballhawk and a heavy hitter. He graduated from my high school.

LB Titus Brown from Miss St. would be a solid pickup. I'm quite surprised he wasn't drafted. I get the feeling he'll be a solid contributor for some team and actually have a decent career.

I'd like Zenon...

Eric Foster, DE, Rutgers is a hell of an athlete. He has played DE, MLB, and DT in his time at Rutgers. I think he'd be a hell of a pickup to play a 3-4 End. He has that nonstop motor that will allow him to hold the point of attack.

How soon till we pick these guys?

Every NFL team is burning up the phone lines as we speak. Some news will sneak out from agents once their guys are signed, but the Steelers do not announce until they have a contract in hand. They lost a WR a few years ago by announcing and then he changed his mind and signed with Atlanta (he went to Georgia).

I want Foster and Henderson. Both are really athletic defenders that could make an impact, and could help special teams immediately.

Totally missed that Bama DE Wallace Gilberry was on that list. With a little added size, he could provide help at DE. He's a gamer.

Hefney is pretty much a special teamer. Young is surprising and I hope we sign him now.

Hefney played CB and Safety all four years at Tennessee. He's also a good return guy for kicks and punts. I'd say he's got better than good coverage skills, since he was put at safety to help out the young CBs.

I meant in the NFL he'd just be a special teamer. I think he's small and his 40 time wasn't so good.

eh, yeah, he'd be an excellent special teamer. i see his college career being equivalent to Tyrone Carter. In fact, I see him as another coming of Lord Tyrone, but quicker and with better coverage skills. Hefney also rarely misses tackles.

I would think that coming to the Steelers to try to make the team as DE would be appealing. I would have to think that a FA could possible make the team.
