NFL.com's Jason La Canfora reports the Steelers are "hopeful" that Troy Polamalu's PCL sprain won't cost him more than three games.

Polamalu is already out for Week 11, and La Canfora calls his odds of playing the following week "remote." While Polamalu's PCL injury isn't to the same ligament that cost him four games early this year, it is to the same knee, which is cause for plenty of concern. Tyrone Carter will continue to start.

Troy can take a month off. Get him 100% for the playoffs.

I am a Lifelong Celtic's fan , and this is the same injury that put garnett out of the playoffs, it was in the back of his knee, just like Troy's problem is now, I just hope he can come back, garnett had months off and tried right before the playoffs started, and couldn't take the pain running on his knee, I am hoping for a better outcome for Troy and then garnett had!!!

One damaged ligament is bad enough, now his knee is extremely unstable with 2 ligaments damaged. Unfortunately, he will have to sit for quite a while.

Inject some hyperbaric O2 into that knee joint - we have the technology

Why was he listed as questionable for this week, and seen walking around without even a limp... if he is going to be out 3 weeks min

I'm tying to figure this out myself. I thought it was already established that the injury was not bad at all, and actually better than expected.

Good news on Polamalu
The news on Troy Polamalu's injured left knee was better than the Steelers first thought, Tomlin said, although he's not likely to play Sunday in Kansas City.

"Troy's status for this game is probably questionable at best, although we've had some favorable information in regards to where he is from a health standpoint," Tomlin said.

Let Troy rest that knee for when we need him. This week isn't a threat at all, even if it were that knee has to heal for the (sniff) playoffs ~ which aren't that far away.

We still have to play Baltimore twice. Judging by our offensive performances as of late, I'm not feeling too confident. The playoffs are no sure thing at this point. We play some shitty teams over the next month.....and the Steelers are never a stranger to completely fucking it up and losing to one of them.

Texans - 2002. They finished 4-12
Raiders - 2006. They finished 2-14
Jets - 2007. They finished 4-12
Ravens - 2007. They finished 5-11

I think you see my point.

That 2006 game will hurt until the day I die.

I will gladly round up a virgin goat and pour it's blood over Troy's wobbly knee, if a sacrifice will help.

I think his source is the same... but I still don't get the reports of him being much better than expected, walking without a limp, etc.

It does not match up with these rumors. I'll believe it when someone truely close to the team reports it. Right now, we go on what Tomlin said. Not some un-named rumor.
