I like Purple People Eaters, but I wouldn't root for a team with that nickname. I voted for Steel Curtain, obviously.

You have to admit...The Purple People Eaters is a great nickname.....

Too bad they didn't do any 'eating' when it came to the Super Bowl, like the way the Curtain covered O's in those games.

Oh they ate all right. Too bad it was humble pie. I voted 5 times. Didn't even knock a dent in the percentage. Now....I have to go to work. Good luck fellow homers.

I always thought Purple People Eaters sounded gay and doesnt sound very scary to me.

When I think Monsters of the Midway, I see big, scary, slobbering, mean, creatures looming over the Chicago skyline stepping out of Lake Michigan.

"Sweet Dick Willy"? Oh, that was my high school nickname...LOL

I voted for us. But I think SG's argument holds alot of water...

Duh. All this time I'm voting, I'm not even realizing it's one fo those stupid NFL Net shows. No wonder we're not winning. When the show airs they'll say, 'since the Vikes never won a Super Bowl, we'll let them win this', like with the Saints D that time.

It's been 49%-18% the whole damn time. I think the fix is in.

I couldn't agree more, the Vikes might as well called themselves the Purple Headed Yogurt Shooters.

Cheatriots is kind of in vogue right now.

That might be the most appropriate name,
the name that best describes a team.

We are missing a more important poll here: http://www.nfl.com/nflnetwork/story?id=09000d5d808a901f&template=with-video&confirm=true The Top 10 Linbacker Corps in NFL history, at least the Steel Curtain is leading this one, but it's very young...
