Boldin looking foward to playing Steelers...

Boldin looking forward to playing Steelers

Even before he has put on a Ravens uniform, wide receiver Anquan Boldin already shares the same feelings as his new teammates and fans -- a dislike for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
“I’m seeking a little revenge on Pittsburgh,” Boldin said. “They beat us in the Super Bowl, so I’m looking forward to that matchup."
Boldin played in the Super Bowl two seasons ago, when the Arizona Cardinals lost to the Steelers.
In the Super Bowl, Boldin caught eight passes for 84 yards. In his only other game against the Steelers (which came in 2003), he had eight receptions for 118 yards and a touchdown.

He's gonna freeze his ass off waiting for his 3 catches a game.

That's assuming he even plays in the game, since the man cannot even be counted upon to play 16+ games a year.

Until Boldin joined the Rats, I was a fan of him because of his style of play. He's been on my FF team the past 3 years and I've kept track of him quite a bit because of that.

That said, Boldin has MAJOR hamstring issues every year. I can't see the cold weather really helping him out too much with that kind of injury problem. They got him pretty cheap but they are definitely going to play without him at least a quarter of the season, if not longer. Again, I'll be interested to see how his hamstring holds up playing in 0-20 degree weather with the windchill factor.

Great pickup for the Rats if he can stay healthy. Bad pickup for the Rats if they expect him to stay healthy and that's their only option at WR.

He'd better be more worried about getting stabbed by Ray, Ray than playing the Steelers.

The Ravens significantly improved their offense bringing him in and with the Steelers weak play at the corner position Boldin could do some damage. The Steelers absolutely need to shore up that secondary this year.TO possibly signing with the Bungals could also spell trouble for the Steelers, not that he ever did much against us but Taylor could have his hands full this year.

Local Ratbird fans here have mixed feelings. Although a quality receiver his "injury issues" are suspect. Besides if he was such an asset why would AZ be so anxious to trade him?

His constant every year whining about more $$$.

Not only that but when you have Fitzgerald and Breaston you can afford to lose a guy like Boldin.

Not to mention Early Doucet has come on but the
Cardinals are stupid for not at least demanding a
2nd rounder for Boldin. They gave him up for peanuts.

As much as it pains me to admit it, I absolutely love Mason. I have been a fan of his back to his days with the Titans. He was also an outstanding punt returner but that was a decade ago. I personally think he could have been hall of fame material had he played in a good passing attack along the lines of the Colts. But one has to question how much longer he can endure and signing another possible quality but unreliable receiver at this stage of his career, how much improved the Ravens passing attack will be. Regardless of the recurring hamstring problems, I am not sure Boldin is the same receiver after that vicious jaw breaking hit he received. I don't care how tough you are, injuries like that can leave permanent mental scar tissue.

Still, how Rice goes, so goes the Ravens... without him, this offense will struggle to put up points.

Think Dave Wanstedt had a reason to sit Flacco behind Palko?
