Ben is not charged and somehow gets out of this without suspension or any missed time on the field
Ben is not charged but is suspended by the league for violating personal conduct policy
Ben is charged but at some point he will return as the Steelers QB
Ben is charged and never appears in a Steeler uniform again
How do you know, are you clairvoyant?
Ben could've rammed her head off the sink 5 times and threw her to the ground in a fit of rage or her drunken ass could've slipped with her head hitting the door on the way down.
Until the facts come out, nobody has a clue on what really happened.
I bet you guys had Jerome guilty and convicted too.
The Pittsburgh Steelers, proud owners of the AFC Central/North Division since 1970
Never thought Bus was guilty; but have thought Ben might be.
Am prepared for a long, drawn-out process.
Regardless of what the final outcome will be, this situation looks to be a major distraction heading into camp & pre-season. Steelers should take a deep breath, and figure out a way to leverage the QB position asap. Doing so through the draft is probably not the way to go. They should make a move soon, and not wait for any 'final outcome' to this case. If Ben's cleared and ready to play in Sept, great. If not, they'll have already implemented a plan that was put in place in March, with ample time for new QB to get familiar w system, players, coaches.
Ben will be convicted in the court of public opinion of being a huge douchebag. There will be no criminal charges and he will settle out of court on civil charges. Details of the settlement will not be disclosed.
The above post may contain a large amount of sarcasm,.......deal with it.
In the old South - Ben would already have had to marry that girl.
Ben's future - what could have been....

What I think will happen: Ben will be charged with sexual assault. The hospital visit was not just about DNA, it was also to document whatever injury there is to her head. He will plead to a reduced charge lke maybe simple battery, get 500 hours community service, and probation. The Steelers will hold a press conference announcing that Ben has been suspended for ten games, during which time he will go to rehab, that magical fixer of all problems. (We won't be told whether it's alcohol rehab, Tiger-style sex addiction, etc). The Steelers will hope that this will come across as a legitimately harsh penalty to keep the reputation intact, but leave the door open for him to return with his 'problem' fixed. Maybe throw in donating the game checks from his suspension to a women's shelter or some such.
If Ben is charged with a violent sexual assault in which he is actually responsible for injuring this girl, his career with the Steelers will be over. Pleading it down won't make any difference.
His only hope if that is the case is to pay the girl off so she won't testify.
the 32 of you who think Ben will be suspended even if no charges are brought against him are [FILTH]ing idiots
My guess is Ben will be charged, or be about to be charged, with something, and then out-lawyer and/or financially settle with the woman, regardless of what happened that night, which no one will ever find out for sure.
Unless it is clear that Ben raped her or bashed her head against a wall, etc., he'll be back with the Steelers. Ernie Holmes played for the Steelers the season after shooting a police officer. Also, Dan Rooney could just say Ben had to assault the woman because she was preventing a child from being baptized.
I agree with Coolie... if there are no charges brought against him, there will be NO action from the Steelers...
That said, (and I am NOT rooting for this to happen)... I get the feeling that Ben will be charged, will be indicted and will be released from the Steelers (or traded...whatever)... I do hope that is not the case, but this just doesn't feel like it is "just a misunderstanding"... not to me anyway...
I think if Ben is charged, he'll plead down and the NFL or Steelers will suspend him for 4 games or so. I don't think this ever goes to court.
Bright, shiny futures are overrated.
Actually, I am one of those 32 (now at 34) idiots who think that will be the case. I find it hard to believe that the jackass Goodell won't take action regardless of the outcome. Having sex in a public women's bathroom with a 20 yr old regardless of whether it was consentual or not does not look good for the NFL. I believe best case scenario he will be out the first 4 games.
