(Roethlisberger the night of the alleged assault. Alleged victim not pictured) But, for whatever reason, you might not know that later that day Georgia College & State University indicated that the alleged victim was still enrolled at the school.
As part of a statement from the alleged victim’s attorney, the MILLEDGEVILLE UNION-RECORDER reports:Georgia College & State University media relations manager Judy Bailey said that the victim was still a student at the University. Many of the national media accounts of the statement cut off Bailey’s enrollment confirmation perhaps because those reporters were unaware of the TMZ report.
“I can confirm that she is still enrolled as a student at Georgia College,” Bailey said.
There’s also a possibility that some of those reporting on the situation didn’t feel the information was important enough to note, or that perhaps there was some gray area when it came to the victim’s status as a currently active student.
If it is indeed definitive that the alleged victim is no longer attending classes at the school because of the alleged assault, that is significant. Likewise if she is still an active student. But because of privacy issues, there’s a fair chance that information will never be known.
