Cool, welcome back Larry. The grass was not so green in Detroit was it? Now we can move Timmons into Farrior's and Foote can go back to his old spot. Good insurance move. Colbert is very systematically eliminating an emergency need pick at many different positions. Very wise.

Foote would make a great backup which is what he'd be back in Pittsburgh, nobody ever denied that. Nice argument........not.

foote is going to compete in camp for a starting spot. Potsy needs to be the backup and that isn't happening unless he gets hurt.

It's funny how that works. Someone sucks while they were here, then become great after they are gone. Chris Hope is another excellent example. People couldn't get him out of town fast enough, then bitched for two years that we let a Pro Bowl caliber safety go.

I don't know who those people were, but I'm glad Hope is still gone. The Foote move should be strictly for depth.

You really think Foote would sign a 3 year contract to be depth after wanting a 3 year 14 million deal minimum and starting jobs still open in Arizona and Washington?

I remember that thread. It seemed everyone wanted him gone. I remember hoping they would get a draft pick in a trade from the Lions.

I said "should". We'll see what the numbers are and how they plan to address LB in the draft.

Some heads will explode if Foote plays on run downs ahead of one particular LB.

I don't wanna see him ahead of Timmons at anything. I'd much rather see him take time away from Farrior.

This defense is getting older and slower with every player that signs. I wonder what Levon Kirkland is doing these days..................
