McCullers and no Coates?

If I was a betting man I would bet against this.............

I would keep Ayers over Coates. If I was making the cuts it would come down to Ayers and Hunter. I took Hunter figuring Ayers might be stashed on the PS.

regarding this roster. I think I have faith in Richard mann to keep the best receivers and or return guys.

What I don't have is faith in Tomlin to follow suit based his draft choices. Maybe this is just perception.

If Cool Shades keeps Croissant over Watson then it will only add to the legend of Coach Cool Shades. Even he isn't that stupid.

I think we will keep 8 on the oline and both Knile Davis and Watson. I would cut whiff. Safety is going to be an issue with Dangerfield getting hurt and Robert Golden become a weakness at depth.

I almost guarantee they keep 8 offensive lineman at least. Might even be 9 even if they do suck and don't dress on Sundays.

Also think they will not keep Nix and 4 TE's. I know they all have NFL experience but one of those TE's get cut. Not sure who, but it's happening.

All the other numbers look good. Note we've kept 7 D-lineman the last couple of seasons heading into week 1 so don't discount a surprise there either.

Might only be 3 RB's. Might stash one on the practice squad.

No way 7 WR's make the roster no matter the talent. Back end of the roster is all about special teams. 9 LB's, 10 DB's, 7 D-Lineman, 8-9 O-lineman is very typical.

I would keep Tucker over DHB, Coates Ayers and Hunter. quicker and more explosive than all 4 in space and is more polished route runner than all but Ayers.

Ayers is better on punt returns but does not have the quicks in the passing game like Tucker, two different skill sets. There are great punt returners who can't play a position and great WRs ad RBs who cant translate those skills to the punt return game. I hope they keep Tucker and Tucker in the roster and cut Coates and DHB. Both Ayers and Tucker have more want to in their little finger than Coates does in his whole body. I think Ayers and Tucker both have the potential to be as good as Manny Sanders.

Ayers showed quickness when he got his chance last season. He used the same skills he showed on the punt return to set up defenders and make them miss. I like Tucker...but I disagree that he has shown himself to be quick and more explosive than Ayers. I like receivers that can catch....Tucker has seemed to be more consistent than any of the three amigos who have speed but inconsistent hands

I like Ayers but never saw him make plays like Tucker did in the final drive last night. Ayers played well last year in limited time but both are better than the overrated Coates, the poor DBH and even Hunter who I like for his red zone size.

That game was tough to watch, but Tucker did stand out. I like him for the practice squad.
