We were lucky that ours didn’t have rebellion plans. We pushed them from an early age in hopes it would stick, we got lucky. Now we just worry about their choices in mates.
The 2 QB’s now are playing for the gig next year. One of the 2 will be retained, my guess is Fields. Fields will then get the chance to compete with the rookie drafted tomorrow (Sat.) or early next year.
Relax, The sky is not falling. When they get the C, things will be in place for years to come.
Oh mine did, all three. Oldest son is a Civil Engineer, oldest daughter is a Chemical Engineer, youngest daughter is an Electrical Engineer.
My kids were given an ultimatum when they started High School, Mom and Dad ONLY help pay for College if you pursue a STEM Degree. As it turned out, our...
If I had a kid graduating from HS, I would suggest Mechanical Engineering to design the “replacement” employees, or maybe even training in maintenance and repair of “replacement” employees. This is going to be the next Gold Rush opportunity.
Carolina and Washington both have 2 picks early in the 2nd round, hopefully Kahn is working his magic to try and get one of them to part with their pick. 33, 36, 39 or 40, any of those should get the Center they are looking for, especially #33.
Chargers lose 2 top WR’s and take an OT. Pittsburgh loses an above average WR, and people are thinking the sky is falling and must trade up for a WR. LAC has their priorities right.
Why they are even forced to go to class amazes me too.
Just let them play without going to school. Implement a structured pay scale and no one can enter the Draft until 21.
Thrill - Latham @ 20, move up to get Frazier in the 2nd, and only costing Moore and a 6th to do it, then also getting the WR @ 51
Depress - Moving up in the 1st for any reason, other than using Tomlin’s contract to make it happen.
Best first 2 day in all time Drafts:
TRADE Mike Tomlin to...
Simple solution is to extend him for 2years at Vet minimum. 22 million becomes 7 mil and change. 25 rolls around and you decide if he is worth Vet min, if not, you do a June cut designation and eat 7 in 25&26
Being able to “play” center, and being one of the top 3 rated centers is different. I would just PREFER to take a player in 1 or 2 that is not going to change positions. Barton could be the guy, but I like to play the odds in round 1&2.
Besides, I don’t have ANY FAITH in a Tomlin coached team...
I understand the position flexibility aspect of picking Barton, but I want a player that is good enough at his current position to play there. Sure a number of great C’s didn’t play there in college, but I am tired of using premium picks on a player you plan to see if they can play a different...
The top 3 C’s in team history are not really up for discussion, though the order is:
Dawson
Webster
Mansfield
The next 2 that round out the too 5 are:
Hartings
Pouncey
For those that think Pouncey is being disrespected, he isn’t, he is legitimately top 5, just not top 3.
Sure, you could fill the C hole later, but not with a day 1 starter. Maybe he starts in 25 and plays above average, that would be value, but not the impact they need @ C.
I get it, you want to go a different direction.
