Hines was like 4.55 and AB was in the same ballpark. They both had amazing instincts and were just natural route runners/football players. Hines was football quick
Quez is solid as a receiver. I think Khan was anticipating the kickoff rule change and brought him in for that as well. You’ll have 2 speedsters return capable.
I think Russell Wilson should do well in this offensive structure and Fields could be fine. I’m not sure how Pickens fits with this offense. He has shown he can be a damn good blocker when he wants to be. If he’s involved early, he seems to want to block and be involved more.
Boyd isn’t flashy-he is a tough gritty receiver that is a good possession receiver/roleplayer. He would be a very good complimentary piece to this offense with Pickens and another player to be named later. He can still get separation and create space.
I had a few days to chew on this acquisition of Russ.
Smart move. I think that Smith will scheme the offense to what Wilson does best and get Russ involved with the planning. He’s going to be happier with Tomlin/Smith than with Payton.
Getting rid of Dionte helped the Russell Wilson...
I like the move. Jackson could be your slot package guy as well as hybrid CB/Safety to keep an eye on Lamar and go side to side with him when the Steelers are in nickel.
We still have the possibility of getting Cory Trice and Darius Rush into the mix if things in the secondary
I wouldn’t mind brining AR2 back as the number 4 guy. Problem is when he was in, it telegraphed short pass or run. Hopefully Artie Smith would do a better job at disguising this tendency
In all honesty-Queen automatically becomes the best MLB on the Steelers defense. I think if Holcomb was healthy this signing may not have happened. I like the idea of Queen and Roberts inside. Hopefully they can resign Kwon to a reasonable deal and grab a descent rookie
