Not sure about bringing on Sutton. Did he have a good relationship with Wilson? Didn't seem like Wilson was well liked in Denver so i would probably avoid bringing ex teammates here
I'm with you till you got to the Browns. Having Watson might hurt more than help. He has been petty terrible with the Browns. We also play the Ravens tough so those games could go either way. The Bengals are a bad matchup for us with a healthy QB.
Claypool is lazy on and off the field. We caught lightning in a bottle for like half a season and he has had issues since then. He was in CHI for over a year and still didnt know the playbook and also had effort issues. I doubt fields has a good relationship w/ chase so i would not even...
Brown had a very good work ethic so i think Tomlin took the good w/ the bad. I dont think Tomlin controlled Brown, but Brown worked hard and produced. Ben and Brown also had crazy chemistry so he got the ball and put up big numbers which kept him happy.
Their idea was to bring in Russ and have Pickett learn for a year but Pickett bailed on them. Fields just happened to be available so they grabbed him. I'm sure they are hoping fields will work out now, but why offer him a starters contract now. I would rather have no QBs with $0 invested...
I don't think the Steelers planned on getting fields. Pickett was not supposed to basically quit. I would not offer fields any sort of large contract we have no idea how he will perform If Wilson plays well I have no idea what they will do. I think some team will offer russ big money that...
Rice was driving the Lambo which was racing the corvette. As for Pickens i would not make too much of this yet. Would have been a better look if he was there, but it's an informal get together.
Why would we trade up for a WR? WRs are easier to find than other positions we need. We cant afford to give up draft capital for a WR. I think we would have much better luck w/ a 3rd or 4th round WR vs a 3rd or 4th round C. WR is definitely a glaring need, but moving up to draft one is not...
Most teams have more than 1 need and if you have 3-4 major holes and highly rated guys are available even if they are not BPA I do not consider that a reach
One problem is everyone knows our glaring needs. If we dont get a C in round 1 we almost have to in round 2. If teams below us need a C and they are limited I think we will be leap-frogged. We could also move up, but is it going to be worth giving up another pick
So you want a superior player to play out of position so we can draft an inferior player to play his position, then switch the superior player only if the inferior player gets hurt? That makes 0 sense when we can just draft an upper tier RT and have 2 guys play their natural positions. There...
He is plenty fast here and has the record for the longest steeler TD reception.
I think the steelers fell in love w/ claypool and stopped using JuJu the right way. For the record I do not think they should bring him back. I still think he can be solid, but his injury history and price tag...
I agree with pretty much everything except bringing Cole back. He had trouble snapping the ball. Maybe if we use a lot less shotgun, but I would rather try out someone new. The line seemed confused a lot and we had a lot of free rushers or unblocked guys on plays. Not sure if it was scheme...
I agree he looks like he could eat himself out of the league. I know lineman are not usually athletic specimens, but he seems to be carrying way too much extra flab for as young as he is.
I dont think Pickett would have started next year over Wilson regardless. Pickett would have stood no chance w/ the fans / media. Every incomplete pass / sack would have came w/ "we want russ" chants. Only chance would have been if Russ bombed and Pickett came in.
