JPJ concussion issues, not 1st round material at OC?

Yeah, there IS a DC...that would be the defensive coordinator. The opposite of the OC. For another example, there are both offensive and defensive tackles -- thus they are abbreviated as OTs and DTs. Or even if they are both on offense, it's RT and LT, used to distinguish what side of the...

JPJ concussion issues, not 1st round material at OC?

"OC" stands for offensive coordinator where I come from. "C" would suffice for the center position. There is no such thing as a defensive center, so you don't need the "O" for any reason. And BTW, I love the kid from WVU; he's going to start at C in the NFL for 10+ years.

    Penguins 23-24

    1) Didn't agree with pulling Ned. You ride with the guy who's gone without a regulation loss in the prior 10 games, not the guy who's going to come off the bench cold after not playing for almost three weeks. That shorthanded goal scored by Boston doesn't happen with Ned in net. 2) For all of...

    OJ Simpson dead at 76

The pressing questions are: Will his family utilize cryonics? Will he become frozen OJ?

    FordFairLane 2024 Big Board

I like Theo Johnson, and while he had a good performance at the Senior Bowl along with a great combine, there is no way that he's a first round pick. Maybe some team reaches for him in the late second, but I'd expect him to come off the board somewhere in round three.

    Penguins 23-24

Any idea why Sid and Rusty weren't out there to start OT? I put those guys out there immediately -- I like Sully, but you can't mess around with a huge point on the line. It really is amazing how well the Pens have been playing against the top competition in the league over the last few weeks...

    Penguins 23-24

Thanks. I'm actually living every football dad's dream. It's surreal when you're sitting in the offices of some of the premier college football coaches in the country, and they tell you that your son has the potential to play in the NFL. Hard to explain what that feels like, exactly.

    Penguins 23-24

OK, "elite" might not be the correct word, but Malkin has looked like a different player over the past few weeks. More determination, less fly-bys, fewer bad turnovers. Three two-goal games in his last five -- with real scores, no gift empty-netters. He was saying during one of the post-game...

    Penguins 23-24

Couple of things standing out to me down the stretch: 1) St. Ivany + Shea are much better than Ruhwedel + Graves. Especially St. Ivany -- he's infinitely greater than Graves. It's hard to believe one is in his second year of professional hockey, and the other is a six-year NHL veteran...

Report: Steelers Set To Meet With Big Name Quarterback Russell Wilson

You don't have to imagine it. They were better...much, much better. And Russ's stats weren't just better than Kenny's. Despite the historically low numbers as far as pass distance you pointed out there, Wilson still had the ninth-most touchdown passes in the NFL, and he finished third in TD%...

Report: Steelers Set To Meet With Big Name Quarterback Russell Wilson

Yet, somehow Russ had 20 more passing touchdowns then Kenny did.

    Arthur Smith's Offense

So the short answer to my question would be: "No."

Gerry Dulac is reporting Pickett to the Eagles

Tomlin signed his last extension on April 20th, 2021. The other 3 were done in July and early August. So your point is valid. I'd been hopeful this time around based on the reports right after the loss to Buffalo stating that an extension was imminent, and it hadn't happened. If there...

Gerry Dulac is reporting Pickett to the Eagles

I'll take 4:1 odds on KP making the Eagles' opening day roster all day long. How much do you want to lose?

    Arthur Smith's Offense

So, do you believe that Kenny would have had a winning record for the Bears over the last two years? I don't. That team's problems were significant and many.

Steelers Reportedly Now "Have Looked Into" 49ers' Brandon Aiyuk After His Big Season

I agree. With Arthur Smith as the OC, the Titans used 12 personnel a lot. They were #5 in the NFL in 2019 (30% of all plays) and #2 in 2020 (34%). And with Freiermuth and Washington, the Steelers should have an effective duo. The draft is deep with quality wide receivers this year. They...

    Steelers trade for Justin Fields

I'm not typically a rah-rah guy when it comes to offseason moves, mainly because the Steelers usually stood mostly pat under Colbert. Making small-time free agent acquisitions and hanging on to players who were plainly not helping the team. That shlt has clearly changed here lately. I call...

    Congratulations From a Bears Fan

Yet some brazen Steelers fans here are calling these moves "embarrassing" and not for the betterment of the team. Go figure.

    Steelers trade for Justin Fields

The Steelers gutted the entire QB room mostly because the entire QB room wasn't very good, and they came to realize that KP was a p*ssy on top of it. Everybody from that shltty room is going to be a backup in 2024 -- right where they belong. And you don't know what the position will be next...

New Steelers QB Russell Wilson Believes He Will Be The Starter In Pittsburgh: "He's Ultra Confident In His Abilities"

Seems pretty clear-cut to me. From cbssports.com: "According to ESPN.com, Wilson's new contract will pay him the league minimum of $1.21 million for the 2024 season, which is a bargain-basement price for a BACKUP quarterback in the NFL, let alone someone who might end up starting for your...
