DraftKings released their initial win totals for every NFL team since the NFL announced they will be going to a 17-game regular season schedule. The Kansas City Chiefs have the highest win total with 12, while the Houston Texans own the lowest total with 4.5. Now according to DraftKings, there is some skepticism with the Pittsburgh Steelers and how they will follow up their 12-4 2020 season. Their total currently sits at 8.5 with odds of -125 for their win total to go over 8.5 (bet $125 to win $100) and +103 for their win total to go under (bet $100 to win $103). For reference, their win total is the 17th highest in the NFL, 10th highest in the AFC, and 3rd highest in the AFC North behind the Baltimore Ravens (11) and the Cleveland Browns (9.5).

Now I think that win total for the Steelers is a fair assessment given the team’s current state of affairs. They lost players like Bud Dupree, Mike Hilton, and Steven Nelson on the defensive side of the ball. Their offense has some huge question marks on the offensive line with the retirement of Maurkice Pouncey and the unknown of each tackle spot. Also there are questions about how new offensive coordinator Matt Canada and quarterback Ben Roethlisberger will make this new offensive scheme work. If I had to bet on the Steelers win total at the moment, I would take the +103 odds for going under because the Steelers 2021 schedule does them no favors. Their schedule includes seven playoff opponents, two of which they will play twice, and other teams like the Cincinnati Bengals, Denver Broncos, and Los Angeles Chargers who are littered with young, up and coming talent.

Now it is not time to overreact as we are still five months away from the start of the regular season. The Steelers could add a plethora of young talent in the NFL Draft like they have been able to do in recent history. Also, their is the likelihood teams will be impacted by injuries (hopefully not the Steelers), but that is the nature of the NFL. I wouldn’t expect the Steelers win total to drastically change between now and September, but there could be more optimism behind the Steelers based upon what happens before the season starts. Until then, take a look at what DraftKings thinks about the rest of the NFL in the table below.

Honestly, I can't see the Steelers going better than 7-10 right now, best-case scenario. Of course, there's an eternity of time between now and training camp, let alone the beginning of the season. We'll see how things shake out, I guess.

How in the world do the Patriots with Cam Newton have a higher O/U win total?

Help from others.......................... Handy BoB's cable company gets 3 wins just because, Ernie Adams....4 and from there the referees and "rog" will add up...............

We will go under 500 this year, unless Ben goes sick house on this league.

I'm pretty sure the bookies just looked at the 17 game season, then Tomlin and said "keep the never losing season streak alive?" Yep. 8.5 NEXT!

So 8.5 wins in 17 games? Lets see how the draft comes out, but with our schedule and free agent losses, I'm thinking under.

Fear not Steeler fans, next year we have over $100 in cap space to spend and 3-4 comp picks.

We are not going anywhere in 2021, but if we play it right 2022 could be an excellent rebound year.

Repost the bet, this forum has lost a lot of air over the past few months. I bet we do not win a playoff game this coming season, now what are you willing to lose? Hurry up and reply, before three weeks pass and you call that a reneging.

Also, you or anyone can always PM be on bets.

Here you go Dumb ***. From the “Tomlin only keeps Ben for winning streak” thread (post #35). This was on 3/17/21.

You remain fixated on me. Look, Tomlin has not won a playoff game since 2016, and I will bet you this continues to be the case after this season. The Steelers were ripped apart in free agency, and have brutal schedule with a new OC for the 2021 season Well see what type of coach Tomlin is now, and thank goodness he has not been extended.

Fixated? Coach don’t flatter yourself, your idiosyncrasies are now adjectives for which to identify posts on this board.

I’ll take your bet. Tomlin will win a playoff game for the 2021 season. Terms are simple, you pay my contributor fees for the year if he does win, I’ll pay yours if he doesnt. So as to facilitate the terms of acceptance without excuses, we pay Justin the yearly fee now and whoever wins gets reimbursed next year. No modifications to the terms, either accept them or you just refused your bet. If you do accept, good luck. If you don’t, it won’t be a surprise.

Its been a week. Either Coach is in jail with the Spring Breakers or he knows he would lose another bet on this forum. If anyone sees him posting on another thread or in the non-football forum, please remind him not to hide and either honor his bet or admit he‘s a Dumb ***.

You’ve been avoiding this bet and terms and you know it. The terms have been there and discussed with Justin. So you can eat your “hurry up and reply” bullshit.

As for PM you with the details, we all know how you renege on bets and shovel more crap in excuses than anyone on this board, so for transparency its posted on the board so all can see.

So I call your bullshit, and leave it to you in acceptance as is. No excuses.
