It’s been an emotional 24 hours for Steeler Nation as 18-year Pittsburgh Steelers‘ quarterback, Ben Roethlisberger officially announced his retirement on Thursday morning this week. A career filled with championships, division titles, team and league records, Roethlisberger will go down as one of the best to not only dawn the black and gold, but one of the best quarterbacks in league history.

The Steelers have been doing an amazing job celebrating the future Hall of Famer via social media this week, and it’s been amazing to see past and present players and coaches wish Roethlisberger the very best in his retirement, as well as congratulate him on an outstanding career. From Terry Bradshaw and “Mean” Joe Greene, to Jim Kelly and even the Baltimore Ravens and Tom Brady, Roethlisberger is getting the respect from across the NFL that he deserves. Check these out:

Ben defied the TB12 Method in favor of the “Throw Some Ice On It” method his whole career, and ended up an all-time-great with 6 Pro-Bowls and 2 Super Bowls. There’s more than one way to bake a cake! https://t.co/ue36KXTHnk

Roethlisberger ends his illustrious career 5th in pass completions all-time, 5th in passing yards all-time, 8th in passing touchdowns all-time, and as for strictly Steelers history, number 1 in well… see for yourself:

That's a lot of #Steelers records

So he gets respect from players and teams and some hometown fans…, most of the biased sports news network in the US are underplaying it even compared to a lesser qb like rivers and definitely less than brees last year…. If Rodgers hangs them up this off-season he will be front page news for a week…

Very cool seeing all of the messages from his current and former teammates as well as players from around the league. Even though we watched it every week, it's hard to fathom how good he was for so long and his winning percentage. He was a rare player.

The TB12 method... Cheating, Certified success.
Ben should do his retirement applaud to lady. "Congrats on your retirement, you didn't take the honest way to earn your achievements but there is more than one way to get there, *****."

I recall Ben, himself, referring to Brady as the greatest of all time.

Or maybe Ben doesn't have to create an alternate reality to cope with things.

Yeah we know who lives in an alternate universe. Where cheat fans are in denial despite repetitive punishments. 😁 Deal with it asterick boy.
