Just a thought; would Artie transition well as a safety with Sutton emerging. Would that be something worth considering?

He's better off at corner.

I think he threw a TD pass in PeeWee league,........................maybe try him out as Ben's replacement????? THOUGHTs

I think his BEST place is where he is at. Play him more man on man as he is much better in that role. Mitchell is the weakest link, not just at safety but on the entire defense.
Maybe Willie Gay should be considered out there.

Gay is the only corner that could do well at Safety. Free not strong. He can hit, tackle, and has shown that he's aggressive with the ball in the air.

Gay should have been moved to Mitchel's spot week 6.

Fully agree Cope, William would fill that role nicely and then Mitchell could be reserve GOON, bring him in when we need a mysterious hit.

Maybe if he were a more cerebral type player but I don’t like the idea of making him learn a new position two games prior to the playoffs.

This is something I wouldn’t do at this point in the season. However, offseason, this is something I would explore. Especially if Haden and Sutton become an inseparable tandem. Hilton is has really developed into a very good nickel which leaves Burns. I’d hate to see another wasted first round pick.

Burns could not tackle my mother, please that is the last scenario that should fly around. At least Burns would never get an unnecessary roughness call.
