No one is going to tell me what I can and can't buy. I think it's somewhere in the Constitution.

Do you see any legislators proposing law banning the buying of goods from any country, Elfpig?

It's simply a thread in protest of that piece of ****, communist regime; but you always have been a little slow.

No I don't, steelworthverylittle, but I did not say anything about legislation. I was all inclusive and that means you as well. Talk about slow.

If you actually had an ounce of intelligence or creativity, it would be Stillworthless. Enjoy your short stay, piggy.

I thought Stillworthless was entirely too obvious, lacking both intelligence and creativity. How about you call me piggy and I call you poopy-head?

Nice find, guru. American made clothing is the most difficult to find. Jesus, Levi's are made in India, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, and Indonesia.

Bill's Khakis are made in USA but I can'f afford $128 for a pair of pants.

It's really hard to say how many products are like that but rest assured...it's a lot. During my retail phase in life, I discovered the same scenario for ceiling fans. Same fan mfg facility, different customer specs and packaging.

Including Casablanca fans?

I bought a pair but I don’t think I paid that much. I didn’t like them. Way too heavy and uncomfortable. Maybe if you live in Siberia... I treasure comfort. They failed.

Another way over-hyped product is Boll & Branch sheets. That flat out suck. Go with Sheex instead. Trust me on this... We spend almost a third of our lives in bed. I value the quality of mine even more than my car. And I LOVE my frickin car.

I buy L.L. Bean khakis. Probably made in China or Sri Lanka or some shithole, I'd have to look, but moderately priced and wear like iron. Just got four pair and they last me a year and a half or so. Dropped the old ones off at Salvation Army.

The bomb though is Under Armor t-shirts and underwear. Pricey when you buy them but the stuff simply does not wear out. Ever.

Clothing is one product that is very difficult to find made in America. The stuff still made here - American Giant, All American Clothing, Hart, Schaffner & Marx for suits - is more expensive, quite a bit more on occasion, but also tends to be much, much better quality than the slave labor **** made in China, Vietnam, etc.

One other point. I started this thread, as noted, for one reason: To help Steeler Nation find products made in the USA (preferably) but certainly NOT made in China. That is a goal I am hard-pressed to believe any being outside of China would oppose. Further, it is an absolutely undisputed fact that China is arguably the most racist nation on the planet, has slave labor, currently has approximately 1 million Uygurs in a concentration camp, and jails and kills political opponents.

Yet liberals are unwilling to criticize China, even with respect to its outrageous and cataclysmic lies about the virus and its intentional behavior in making sure the virus did not escape into the rest of China, and that it certainly escaped to the rest of the world.

Elftard's contribution is one pretty good example here. "**** you, I'll buy whatever I want to buy." Huh, so all fired up about racism, and the virus, and freedom ... so long as the whining and caterwauling destroys the United States. Direct that vitriol at China, a murderous, racist, authoritarian regime? Nope. No can do.

"Slavery!!" What about current slavery in China? "US built on slavery!" No, seriously, what about ACTUAL, CURRENT slave labor in China? Or the fact that China murders political prisoners to harvest organs for political leaders? "United States evil, white man bad, Orange Man worse!! Aaaaaaaahhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Example 1,278,436 that liberals care more about destroying America than about their purported "ideals."

That's it...I am now in the camp that firmly believes the Dims are indeed trying to destroy America. This latest, as I read it, bill that Nasty Nancy concocted is proof positive.

For Dems to Succeed, Americans Must Fail

Many claim that the Democrats want open borders to import millions of new voters who will likely vote for Democrats.

Undeniably this is an accurate statement but only partially addresses the strategy behind the Democrats’ push for open borders and an end to immigration law enforcement as optimized by the creation of “Sanctuary Cities” and Sanctuary States and immigration mayhem that ensues.

There are many elements of the proposed emergency funding bill concocted by Nancy “Let them eat ice cream” Pelosi and her fellow travelers of the Radical Democratic Party that have absolutely nothing to do with assisting struggling Americans and small businesses that were ordered shuttered because of the Coronavirus Pandemic that has sickened millions and has killed an estimated 80,000 Americans, thus far. One of the most egregious components of this bill has been ignored by the media that is addressed by PJ Media.

Here is the relevant excerpt:

They’ve also prioritized China’s economy in this one. The bill includes a provision that waives Chapter 83 of title 41, United States Code. What’s that?

Chapter 83 of title 41, United States Code, shall not apply with respect to purchases made in response to the emergency declared by the President on March
13, 2020, under section 501 of the Robert T. Stafford Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act (42 U.S.C. 5191) and under any subsequent major
disaster declaration under section 401 of such Act that supersedes such emergency declaration.

Chapter 83 of Title 41, United States Code is none other than the Buy American Act. That 1933 law prioritizes American manufacturers over others when the
government makes purchases. The Trump administration strengthened the Buy American act last year. The Democrats’ bill would waive it permanently,
allowing the government to purchase more goods from overseas, unrestricted.

The Buy American Act requires that the federal government must prioritize the purchase of supplies from American companies when such made in America supplies are available.

This is commonsense and helps America and Americans.

Yet during the current crisis the Democrats want to eliminate this requirement that protects American jobs that has been on the books for nearly 90 years. They are exploiting the pandemic crisis as a means for pressuring the Republicans and the President into ending this important long-standing law.

I also find it hard to believe that we, as American citizens, have not tarred and feathered these ******** a long time ago.

Remember that sequence in "Sixth Sense" where the kid helps show that the mother was poisoning her daughters? And the video showed the mother putting rat poison in the soup?

There are times where I feel like America is watching Pelosi, Schumer, et al. put rat poison in our soup, we slurp it down, and say, "More please!!"

So here is the list of all cell phones still made in America:

Yep, none. Zero. We developed the technology, and have now exported all manufacturing to Asia, mainly China and South Korea.

Whoop-dee-*******-doo. At least that genocide-loving, America-hating freak elftard is happy.

Yeah but.....where did the rat poison come from ? Remember CHARLES KRAUTHAMMER ? He wrote an article back in 2017 named THE ENEMY AMONGST US. In this article he predicted all this chaos and detailed the source.

Ever wonder why protests and demonstrations get started almost immediately after some announcement by the Trump administration? How anti-gun marches get set up so quickly after a school shooting? Huge marches on Washington DC are organized so quickly? The orders come directly from their Headquarters in DC.

The Enemy Amongst Us!!
By Charles Krauthammer,

An article from the New York Post:

I do not understand how living in a country with its democracy established over 200 years ago, and now, for the first time in history, suddenly we have one of our former presidents set up a group called “Organizing for Action” (OFA).

OFA is 30,000+ strong and working to disrupt everything that our current president’s administration is trying to do. This organization goes against our Democracy, and it is an operation that will destroy our way of governing. It goes against our Constitution, our laws, and the processes established over 200 years ago. If it is allowed to proceed then we will be living in chaos very much like third world countries are run. What good is it to have an established government if it is not going to be respected and allowed to follow our laws?

If you had an army some 30,000 strong and a court system stacked over the decades with judges who would allow you to break the laws, how much damage could you do to a country? We are about to find out in America!

Our ex-president said he was going to stay involved through community organizing and speak out on the issues and that appears to be one post-administration promise he intends to keep. He has moved many of his administration’s top dogs over to Organizing for Action.

OFA is behind the strategic and tactical implementation of the resistance to the Trump Administration that we are seeing across America, and politically active courts are providing the leverage for this revolution.

OFA is dedicated to organizing communities for “progressive” change... Its issues are gun control, socialist healthcare, abortion, sexual equality, climate change, and of course, immigration reform.

OFA members were propped up by the ex-president’s message from the shadows: “Organizing is the building block of everything great we have accomplished. Organizers around the country are fighting for change in their communities and OFA is one of the groups on the front lines. Commit to this work in 2017 and beyond.” OFA’s website says it obtained its “digital” assets from the ex-president’s re-election effort and that he inspired the movement. In short, it is the shadow government organization aimed at resisting and tearing down the Constitutional Republic we know as AMERICA.

Paul Sperry, writing for the New York Post, says, “The OFA will fight President Donald Trump at every turn of his presidency and the ex-president will command them from a bunker less than two miles from the White House.” Sperry writes that, “The ex-president is setting up a shadow government to sabotage the Trump administration through a network of non-profits led by OFA, which is growing its war chest (more than $40 million) and has some 250 offices nationwide.

The OFA IRS filings, according to Sperry, indicate that the OFA has 32,525 (and growing) volunteers nationwide. The ex-president and his ‘wife’ will oversee the operation from their home/office in Washington DC.

Think about how this works. For example: Trump issues an immigration executive order; the OFA signals for protests and statements from pro-immigrant groups; the ACLU lawyers file lawsuits in jurisdictions where activist judges obstruct the laws; volunteers are called to protest at airports and Congressional town hall meetings; the leftist media springs to action in support of these activities; the twitter sphere lights up with social media; and violence follows. All of this happens from the ex-president’s signal that he is heartened by the protests.

If Barack Obama did not do enough to destroy this country in the 8 years he was in office, it appears his future plans are to destroy the foundation on which this country has operated on for the last 241 years.

So funny how Republicans proposed radical ideas about returning manufacturing to America, returning production of antibiotics to America, and literally NOT ONE DEMOCRAT supported the idea.

NOT.
ONE.

If you doubt that (D)ims are more dedicated to destroying America than any other idea, then sorry. You are just not paying attention.

The Dimocrats tried to destroy America somewhat diplomatically with Oterrorist. Then Trump came along and foiled those plans by Making America Great Again, so now they've gone full apeshit.

And the history books should spell it out just like that, verbatim.

There are certain things that are near impossible to find. I'm a bit of a tinkerer, my new vehicle is 23 years old and my toy 45.

Thought it would be nice to buy myself a new set of combination wrenches, but need to decide if $300 for a set from SK is worth it.

I'll go without before buying anything Chinese, which is 99% of the market.

CHINA NOW TAKES OVER THE PORK INDUSTRY TOO!
Smithfield Farms, the largest pork producing farm in the USA was sold recently to China with the unanimous support of its stockholders!! The hogs will still be raised here, but slaughtered and packaged for sale there before being sent back here. This includes labels of Morrell, Eckrich, Krakus, Cudahy, Premium Hams, Cook's, Gwaltney, The same with many chickens. They can now be shipped there, but when they come back all that needs to be labeled is that they WERE RAISED IN THE USA. Not that they were processed in China!!! Our great FDA at work again. The chickens will be all processed and most sold to fast food restaurants for sandwiches, along with schools and supermarkets. The China slaughter and processing are not nearly equal to the requirements here.

*BAD FOOD:::

We recently learned that Starkist Tuna is now owned by Korea , and is in big conflict with the U. S. concerning quality, safety, and records, which Korea refuses to produce.

Read several articles on Google about this, and even one that was defending the eating of tilapia said to avoid the fish that came from China Also,I had just returned home from buying Albertson's 4-day special of 4 bags of frozen tilapia for the price of one.? Sure enough, on the top of the bags, it read "farm raised", and on the bottom in small print it said, " China "read all the way down...

Recently a Food inspector on TV... said he had lived overseas and he had seen the filthy conditions their foods are raised and processed in. It is enough to make you throw up. Some foreign workers have to wear masks as they work in these places, because the food is so rotten and filthy, it makes them want to throw up. Many of their fish on Fish Farms are fed raw sewage daily. He said he has seen so much filth throughout their food growing and processing that he would "never" eat any of it. They raise this filth, put some food coloring and some flavorings on it, then they ship it to the USA & Canada for YOU to consume and feed to YOUR families. They have no Food & Safety Inspectors. They ship it to you to buy and poison your families and friends .

Imported food we eat and the junk we buy: Green Giant frozen vegetables are from China, and so are most of Europe 's Best.

Arctic Gardens are Okay. So is Birdseye.

Never buy the grocery store garlic unless it is clearly marked from USA or Canada, the other stuff is grown in people poop (even worse than chicken droppings). China is the largest producer of garlic in the world; U. S. is next.

Buy only local honey *, much honey is shipped in huge containers from China and re-packed here.

Cold-FX is grown and packed in China and is full of fecal bacteria. Doesn't work anyway, big scam.

If the country of origin is not clearly marked beware. If produce, ask an employee.

Watch out for packages which state "prepared for", "packed by" or "imported by". We don't understand the lack of mandatory labeling, especially the produce.

The country of origin should be clearly shown on the item in the store.

Go to the local farmers' markets in season and keep a wary eye open the rest of the year.

Please read this very carefully, and read to the very bottom. It's important for all of us.

How is it possible to ship food from China cheaper than having it produced in the U. S. or Canada?

FOR EXAMPLE THE "OUR FAMILY" BRAND OF MANDARIN ORANGES SAYS RIGHT ON THE CAN 'FROM CHINA '. SO, FOR A FEW MORE CENTS, BUY THE LIBERTY BRAND.

GOLD BRAND OR THE DOLE IS FROM CALIFORNIA.

Beware, Costco sells canned peaches and pears in a plastic jar that come from China.

ALL "HIGH LINER" AND MOST OTHER FROZEN FISH PRODUCTS COME FROM CHINA OR INDONESIA . THE PACKAGE MAY SAY "PACIFIC SALMON" ON THE FRONT, BUT LOOK FOR THE SMALL PRINT. MOST OF THESE PRODUCTS COME FROM FISH FARMS IN THE ORIENT WHERE THERE ARE NO REGULATIONS ON WHAT IS FED TO THESE FISH.

Recently The Montreal Gazette had an article by the Canadian Government on how Chinese feed the fish: They suspend chicken wire crates over the fish ponds, and the fish feed on chicken droppings.

If you search the internet about what the Chinese feed their fish, you'll be alarmed; e. g, growth hormones, expired anti-biotic from humans.? Never buy any type of fish or shellfish that comes from these countries: Vietnam, China, Philippines.

Check this out personally. Steinfeld's Pickles are made in India - just as bad! Another example is in canned mushrooms. No-Name brand came from Indonesia .

Also, check those little fruit cups. They used to be made in Canada in the Niagara region until about 2 years ago. They are now packaged in China. Most sold in Aldi stores.

While the Chinese export inferior and even toxic products, dangerous toys, and goods to be sold in North American markets, the media wrings its hands! Yet, 70% of North Americans believe that the trading privileges afforded to the Chinese should be suspended.

Well, duh! Why do you need the government to suspend trading privileges?

SIMPLY DO IT YOURSELF, CANADA AND THE U. S.

Simply look on the bottom of every product you buy, and if it says 'Made in China ' or 'PRC' (and that now includes Hong Kong ), simply choose another product, or none at all. You will be amazed at how dependent you are on Chinese products, and you will be equally amazed at what you can do without.

THINK ABOUT THIS:

If 200 million North Americans refuse to buy just $20 each of Chinese goods, that's a billion dollar trade imbalance resolved in our favor...fast! The downside? Some Canadian/American businesses will feel a temporary pinch from having foreign stockpiles of inventory.

Just one month of trading losses will hit the Chinese for 8% of their North American exports. Then they will at least have to ask themselves if the benefits of their arrogance and lawlessness are worth it.

START NOW and don't stop and tell your friends.

Let's show them that we are intelligent, and NOBODY can take us for granted. Start reading labels more closely and buy something else even if it cost a few cents more.*

**** China-loving Nike, and their Chinese slave labor.

https://www.breitbart.com/news/nike-reports-790-mn-q4-loss-as-sales-plunge-on-covid-19-hit/

Nike Reports Surprise $790 Million Loss, 46% Plunge in North American Sales

New York (AFP) – Sports giant Nike reported a surprise loss Thursday as shutdowns due to COVID-19 prompted a big drop in revenues in spite of higher online sales.

Nike reported a loss of $790 million in the quarter ending May 31, which translated to a loss of 51 cents per share compared with analyst expectations for nine cents per share in profit.

Revenues tumbled 38 percent to $6.3 billion following huge declines in sales in most of the world.

In North America, the company’s biggest operating region, revenues plunged 46 percent to $2.2 billion.

Alternative to Nike - New Balance, still made in America and a very good product.
