On Thursday it was reported that the Pittsburgh Steelers have agreed to terms and signed 5-time Pro Bowl guard Trai Turner, which was later confirmed and announced by the Steelers this morning.
The contract details soon followed, as NFL Network‘s Ian Rapoport announced that the deal is a one-year deal worth $3 million. It is also reported that of that $3 million, $2 million of it is in signing bonus.
Between the release of franchise great David DeCastro and the signing of Turner, the Steelers have gained ~$5.75 million in cap space. Turner is expected to slide into the role left by DeCastro as the team’s starting right guard.
